#Recap Sabbatical Week 14
Hong Kong 🇭🇰

Our final destination was Hong Kong, initially just a stopover on our journey home. However, this vibrant city welcomed us with open arms and exceeded all expectations. From incredible food spots, fascinating sights, the nearby green forest and nature to the bustling crowds, Hong Kong is a cultural melting pot that's truly captivating. We even tried Bubble tea for the first time, even though we learned Taiwan is the worlds capital for Bubble tea lovers. It was the perfect ending to our three-month adventure. 🫶 taken in Hong Kong by @harald_ld

#Recap Sabbatical Week 13 Part 1 🌴 🇫🇯
Bula bula Oarsman Bay

Yes, our journey ended already about 4 weeks ago, but since the everyday life back home hit hard, we didn't find the time to post the last two stops. So, here we go 😊

📍 Yasawa Islands: After an exciting time on the main island, we caught the ferry to the stunning Yasawa Islands for a little beach vacation at the end of our journey. ⛴️ With a breathtaking house reef, crystal-clear water, and some traditional Fijian activities, we got to experience a completely different side of Fiji. Have you ever played coconut bowling or witnessed a crab race in person? 🦀🥥 Neither did we until then, but it was super fun.

We also loved exploring the underwater world with various mantas, colorful fish, a poison sea snake, and beautiful corals. A fantastic way to end our time in Fiji. 🇫🇯

📍 Exploring Vitu Levu: Embarked on a little road trip across Fiji's largest island and discovered a paradise dedicated to resorts and warm hospitality. From breathtaking wildlife to pristine beaches, every moment was filled with awe. Highlight? A traditional Lovo cooking class and unforgettable Karva ceremony, immersing in local culture and flavors. And of course, snorkeling adventures bonding with the vibrant marine life. 🐠
Apologies for the delayed post, but hey, it's Fiji time.

#Recap Sabbatical Week 11 🌴✨🇨🇰
Kia Orana from the enchanting Cook Islands , a charming South Pacific haven where time seems to stand still ⏳️

📍 Aitutaki: Paradise found! 🏝 From pristine beaches to crystal-clear waters, Aitutaki welcomed us with open arms, offering a much-needed respite after our adventures in NZ. Limited connectivity meant we truly unplugged and soaked in the serenity. Kite lessons and lagoon cruises added thrills to our tranquil days, with even Lisa taking a shot (and mostly succeeding! Slide left to see the success). 🫠
The warmth of the locals made this island feel like home, easily becoming one of our top destinations. ❤️
While we missed the eclipse due to cloudy skies and maybe the wrongly marked day in our calendar, the memories we made were sunnier than ever! 🌅

📍 Rarotonga: Despite the rainy season, Rarotonga's beauty shone through. Exploring the island's lone circular road, we indulged in delectable local cuisine and embraced the jungle vibes with a workout at one of its unique gyms. 🏋‍♂️Who knew training amidst lush greenery could be so invigorating? 😊
