// for Bill //

Few have had a greater impact in punk than Bill Stevenson. For me - it was his work behind the set with the @descendents that brought me to Punk and kept me here for the last 30 years. Whether with Milo and crew, ALL, or Black Flag - his work is a part of any catalogue. But many don’t know about his work helping artists make the most of their own sounds. Bill founded @theblastingroom in Fort Collins, Colorado - and has been the man there for over 25 years - helping enough artists to get me flagged for spamming if I were to try and list them here.

So when I set out to build something that would really highlight his work - and hopefully mean something extra for him, I led with logos from his studio. Then, I rolled in panels from stage scrims that he played under with the Descendents to give the contrast to the hands in the cover.

Though I selfishly HOPE he uses the bag, the opportunity to make this piece for him was really a personal one for me. “Someday, my day will come…”. Thanks Bill 👊🏻

THIS. I’m not the type to put my face in every post - I’d rather let my work do the talking. But… I had to share this pic. Unbelievable night at the @hobboston with @_pennywise

To @fletcherpw @jimlindbergpw @byronmcmackin and @randybradbury thank you for an epic show and for the added hospitality and support of my work. Amazing how much a few encouraging words and handshakes mean to a guy like me. Hope we can make something epic happen in ‘27 👊🏻🤘🏼

To @captn.chocolatepaws - dude. Thank you for capturing this moment, and for making it possible.

// paying my dues // All doors stay closed if you don’t knock. Sometimes it takes more - or harder raps - but if it means that much you keep trying until you find a way.

@ringostarrmusic - I know you’re in Boston tomorrow. I made you this custom stick bag. No expectations - just a sign of respect to the man who kept time on a huge part of the songs that defined my love for music of all kinds… and instilled the importance of #peace and #love in a world where more of both are needed. I’ll be bringing it to the @mgmmusichall before the show.

-//-//- REACH for the SKY!!!

Custom stick bag I made for @dhidalgojr of @socialdistortion

Two colors of premium leather and dimensional details for this Luchador rocking a Dodger cap. The interior pockets are made with cheetah print stretch fabric to mark the success of the band’s latest album and current tour - #borntokill

It’s no secret that my journey has been tough. Music kept me going through the worst of it. Social D was a regular part of that path - especially “Reach for the Sky.” To say that I was proud to build this one would be a HUGE understatement - and now seeing it at his side leaves me without words. Honored.

Thank you, Sir! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

-//-//- this does NOT Suck 🤘🏻

@descendents were in Boston yesterday. I did a thing. Milo did a thing. It did NOT suck!!!!!

Details for this one-of-kind water bottle sling:
- strap - I used edge banding from the @punkindrublicfestival scrims that were hanging when the Descendents opened for @nofx the night this journey started for me.
- patch - this one was from the night I saw the Descendents for the first time. Though I never saw myself parting with it, this seemed a fitting use.
- Body - big enough for a @yeti 1L bottle, the cuff is made with leather and stretch panel for a secure fit no matter how hard he goes with Coffee Mug 🤘🏻

🍊🪰 Postcards from the Tragic Kingdom (Pt. TWO) 🍊🪰

“Excuse Me Mister… can I make you a custom stick bag?“

This TRAGIC KINGDOM inspired stick bag was a quick turn custom, made with only a few days to put it together before I was on a plane to Vegas. I layered American Cordura and a bit of padding to give it some dimension… but that custom housefly patch really brought it home.

Adrian Young is the heartbeat behind a band that has always had a place in the Climb. I may have fallen for Gwen in her Sunday Morning best, but the beat he delivered throughout the album kept me. To suggest that I was proud to build this one is a vast understatement.

Shout out to @ocdrumdevil for letting me know it was well received - and to Adrian for sending along the personal note a few days on.

-//-//- 🍊 Postcards from the Tragic Kingdom (Pt. ONE) 🍊

I’ve seen a lot of shows. Bad ones. Good ones. And a handful of truly GREAT ones. @nodoubt was worth the 30 year wait, and I’m SO DAMN THANKFUL I had the opportunity to make it to @spherevegas for this one.

To @gwenstefani @tonykanal @tomdumontphoto and @adrianyoungnd - I can say with absolute certainty that I may have never had MORE FUN at a show. Truly well done - I’ll never forget this one. So many tracks that are part of my soundtrack - and so many played that night. 🙏🏻
