58 years. 21,185 days. An absolute masterclass in love, faith, and family.

Today is a deeply special day. As their firstborn, I have had a front-row seat to every single season of their journey. I’ve watched the highs, the lows, the good, the bad, the sweet, the sour, the profound joys, and the everyday frustrations. Through it all, they didn’t just survive; they lived life to the fullest. Nothing perfect, nothing calculated, just loving and living all the way to 58 with all that came with the journey.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate. God knew exactly what He was doing when He created Hardie Davis, Sr., and Delois Davis. He knew they would have four children, two boys and two girls, and He knew they would live their lives before us in a way that taught us how to admire, respect, and love deeply.

Growing up, I often heard peers wish they had different parents. That was never my story. I have never spent a single day wishing for anyone else.

In fact, my parents had so much love, compassion, and care that they naturally became parents to everyone else, too. Imagine sharing a house with three siblings, yet witnessing your parents open their doors and their hearts to countless others. Their arms were never too short, their love was never limited, and their willingness to help knew no boundaries. I’ve watched them take people into their home, help them get on their feet, and launch them into their own careers, families, and lives.

At 79 and 76 years old, they are still doing it.

Every day of my life, I have watched my dad love my mom not just as his wife, but as himself. And together, I’ve watched them extend that same grace to anyone in need.

Please join me today in celebrating my incredible mom and dad on 58 years of marriage.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad. Thank you for showing us what unconditional love looks like.

The U.S. Roundtable was proud to be on the ground at Smart Cities Connect in Raleigh, bringing together city leaders and industry partners to advance the future of intelligent mobility, public safety, and connected infrastructure.

It was an honor to support Mayor Leonardo Williams of Durham, Hon. Hardie Davis Jr., former Mayor of Augusta and Special Advisor to The U.S. Roundtable, and Preston Judkins of Parsons for a strong conversation on how cities are not just adopting technology, but helping shape and govern it.

We were also glad to connect with valued partners and innovators including Airspace Link, NVIDIA, Juganu, Parsons, and others who are helping cities build smarter, safer, and more resilient communities across the country.

Today, I celebrate another year of God’s grace. I’m grateful for life, for family, for deep friendships, and for a God who continues to choose me—daily. I was born for such a time as this, and destiny is still chasing me down.

For the next 30 days, I’m celebrating the goodness of the Lord and every door He continues to open.

If you’re reading this, be encouraged: God hasn’t forgotten you. Purpose is still calling your name. Keep walking. Keep trusting. Your story is still unfolding.
