New addition to my albian collection, Dicroloma marginata from Courcelle, France. Buy from a friend at the mineral and fossil fair in Angers. Unfortunately incomplete, the Dicrolomata marginata are supposed to have a large point going upwards at the level of the labrum.
Still a beauty of nature

3eme photo: bout d'oursin (epiaster) + petit bivalves

New addition to my Courcelle's ammonite collection. A small dentatus hoplite and a rudis hoplite. The hoplite rudis has a lot of microfauna hanging on it and a pathological deformation!!!! 3rd photo: piece of sea urchin (epiaster) + small bivalves 4th photo: small turitelle in calcite + a small bivalve (different species than the other) 5th photo: hamite (ammonite unrolled from the Albian) pyrite 6th photo: the deformation, we notice that the rib is cut, either due to a genetic desease or a healed wound.

Upper part of the left cleithrum of a Mawsonidae aff axelrodichthys lavocati from the Albian Cenomanian of the kem kem beds in Morocco. (Pic 1)

Mawsonidae were giant (up to 6m) fresh and salt water coelacanth from the Mesozoic from all around the world. (Pic 2)

This specimen is interesting for two thing.

first the pathology in the middle part of it help better understand is life, its probably a poncture made from a tooth healed or a bone infection

Second thing is his attribution, it is debated if the species of Mawsonidae from the kem kem beds is in the Axelrodichthys (pic 3) or Mawsonia (pic 4) genera, but this specimen show strong ressemblance with Axelrodichthys, pointing to the species Axelrodichthys lavocati.

Basilosaurine whale snout indet from Morocco/Western Sahara, Ad-Dakhla, could be basilosaurus, dorudon, saghacetus, stromerius, chrysocetus, masracetus, antaecetus or even pappocetus wich in this case mean its not even a basilosaurine but a protocetid even more primtive.
Good way to show how diverse basilosaurine whale were.
