The Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra recited by Gaiea is here in full
This interaction between Shiva and Parvati gives rise to immense wisdom
“Worship does not mean offering flowers.
It means offering your heart
To the vast mystery
Of the universe.
It means letting your heart pulse
With the life of the universe,
Without thought and without reservation.
It means being so in love
That you are
Willing to dissolve
And be recreated in every moment.” Dr Lorin Roche

come face to face with reality right now through these immortal sanskrit mantra, reading these and recognising these and practising these … it all starts with hearing... so may you enjoy hearing them now

There’s an old Indo-European convention that the first verse and even the first word of a text of a scripture embodies the essence of that entire scripture. The VBT starts with “śrutaṃ”, “heard”.

If you want to hear the teachings, and embody them yourself, we offer a free 7-Day Immersion into Nondual Tantra.

Posted a reel recently that basically said the same thing, but it really is a point that bears repeating. If you’re serious about recognizing your true nature, wouldn’t you want the least complex path to it? 😅

Let a residue of the practice remain. What you have been calling “normal” is itself a conditioned state, a particular configuration of attention and identity that you have simply grown accustomed to.

Every practice, every genuine opening, is an invitation to let your baseline shift. Not by forcing a new state, but by not rushing to reconstruct the old one. The small gap between where the practice leaves you and where habit wants to pull you back is where something new can take root.

Explore classical Tantric practices with the free 7-day Immersion into the Vijñāna-bhairava-tantra.

What you experience as separation is not a feature of how things are, but something actively constructed and maintained by the mind. You start dissolving the constructed sense of being a separate self, and suddenly you feel everything. Too much. You’re permeable in a way you weren’t prepared for, and the temptation is to rebuild the walls, to manage your “sensitivity” with better boundaries, more protection, subtler forms of withdrawal.

The entire modern wellness framework reinforces this: set boundaries, protect your energy, shield yourself. But the tradition says something radically different. The sensitivity isn’t the problem, it’s the proof that you’re halfway through a door you need to walk all the way through.

The discomfort comes not from being too open, but from still having a residual sense of a separate self that exists in contrast to other selves. As long as that’s intact, openness will feel like vulnerability. The only real resolution is to keep going. To dissolve the reference point that makes openness feel threatening in the first place.

The spiritual ego is more dangerous than the ordinary one, because it’s so much better disguised.
The modern spiritual marketplace encourages people to polish and refine a spiritualized version of the ego-self until it becomes almost indistinguishable from genuine realization. Endless workshops, retreats, books, certifications, each one adding another layer of shine to something that was never the real thing to begin with. The more refined it gets, the more engrained it becomes.
The Tantrik tradition anticipated this. It’s why it insisted that practice without correct View simply amplifies whatever is already running the show. The honest question was never “how advanced am I?” It’s whether practice has made you softer, or just more convinced of your own depth.

There is a difference between combining paths and going deep within a tradition that is itself vast. The Vijñāna-bhairava-tantra contains 112 practices because it recognises that each practitioner requires a different entry point into the same nondual recognition. The danger is not diversity of practice, it is the ad-hoc stitching together of incompatible frameworks, each with a different map of the territory and a different definition of arrival.

You can honour more than one lineage, but depth demands that you understand the internal logic of each deeply enough to know where they converge and where they do not, and that you are not using breadth as a subtle avoidance of the confrontation that real practice eventually demands.
