Supreme Biggie “Ready to Die” T-shirt in red — Fall/Winter 2011.

HARI’s touch.

The original plan was a clean crop. But before trimming the excess fabric, I tried it on and liked the weight and layered shape the double hem created. What was supposed to be an in-between stage became the finished design.

Sometimes I think nostalgia begins before we even realize something is gone.

There are moments in life that feel completely insignificant while we are living through them. A skateboard leaning against a wall. A hallway after everyone has gone to sleep. The yellow light coming from another room. A song playing quietly enough that you barely register it.

Nothing important is happening.

And maybe that is exactly why we remember it.

There is something strange about objects that remain still while we continue changing around them. A skateboard is made for movement, yet here it sits completely motionless beside a door — another object that exists specifically to move us from one place into another.

For a moment, everything meant for movement has stopped.

The board.
The door.
Me.

I think that is where the feeling comes from.

A liminal space does not always have to be some enormous abandoned building or an endless fluorescent hallway. Sometimes it is simply the sensation of being caught between versions of yourself. You have already left somewhere mentally, but you have not reached whatever comes next yet.

And somehow the most ordinary rooms begin feeling sacred during those periods.

Maybe growing older is realizing that entire eras of your life were hiding inside things you barely paid attention to.

A scratched board.
An old shirt.
A bedroom.
A certain shade of light.
A song you forgot you knew every word to.

Objects do not remember us, obviously.

But sometimes they survive long enough to make us remember ourselves.

And for a second, the past does not feel like something behind you.

It feels like somewhere nearby.
