Went to our first ncaa D1 Women’s volleyball game last week. It was an amazing experience for Isabella and she fell in love with Auburn and the campus. She is in her first year playing academy for @tsunamivball so this was very motivational for her. Great atmosphere @auburnvolleyball and the clinic afterwards #auburn #auburnvolleyball #tsunamivolleyball #u12 by @harleyshellhammer

Firstly, Hayden doesn’t post much on IG. Most post are collaborations I do and invite him to. Just FYI which is why I’m doing this follow up post.

For those asking about Hayden after the game the other day, he is doing fine. He was held out of practice as a precaution but he should be back up and running this week. There was no actual diagnosis of concussion but I believe 100% he had his brain definitely rattled. Either from taking the shot to his face, or the knee in the back of the head. Or even both. But I spoke to him last night and he sounded good and said he felt good. Make sure you have sound on for the video too! The impact that free kick was insane but the sound it made when it hit him is even crazier. To this point he was having a good first 20 minutes up till that last tackle. And his ankle is doing better. It was bruised but he said he’s fine with that too. by @harleyshellhammer

Today’s match started out strong for Hayden and the defense. He was doing what he does best- defend very well. Unfortunately, he may have received a slight concussion after taking a free kick to the head, then later a knee to the head, both occurring in the first half vs Thomas University. He was unable to continue missing the second half. He took that shot to the face like a champ tho! He’s a fighter and always gives 100%.

The good news is, we went out to dinner afterwards and shopped for some supplies and he seemed like he got better before we left for the drive back home. We wanted to make sure he was going to be ok.

But how about that bicycle kick from the Thomas striker! And an equally good save from the Point keeper!

This is the last known photo I took of the WTC towers. Less than 2 months prior to the attack. I use to go in to Manhattan all the time and do photo shoots with my Nikon camera. I can’t seem to find any of the photos I had developed back then sadly. This photo and another are the only other 2 I have found. So wild. This photo was taken from JFK International Airport where I spent almost a decade working at. On a beautiful clear day, the towers always made for an unbelievable backdrop to airplanes taking off. #wtc #911 #jfk by @harleyshellhammer

For us, 9-11 hits different. We were there. We watched it happen. The second plane hit. The buildings fall. My landlord who was an EMS first responder past away months after from breathing in all the chemicals in the air working at ground zero. Our lives were shut down for awhile. Friends were stuck around the world as the world came to a stand still.
To this day, I can’t watch a documentary or show about it. We still haven’t visited the museum or grounds even tho we’ve been in the area many, many times. Don’t need to. We lived it, and it still hurts till this day. I wish people could know and remember how much of the world came together. Especially in our own country. Our home. EVERYONE flew American flags proudly. At their home, on the car, everyone was very proud to be an American- and most of us still are. Stop taking for granted being an American and be proud of it. As someone who has been fortunate to travel the planet many times, we should be very grateful for everything we have and get to do. A large part of this world doesn’t get to. We aren’t the world, we are America. 🇺🇸 🫶 ❤️ Never Forget… by @harleyshellhammer

I got into a fight with a cat and lost…😭🤦‍♂️🤣 The one along my forefinger curving into the webbing hurt like hell! It went deep. And the fact I take blood thinners didn’t help. I spared everyone those photos🤣
Luna’s hair is unlike any cat we’ve owned. She looks like a giant walking chiapet at full growth. It becomes very matted and causes issues with her going to the cat box, so she has to get trimmed twice a year. As you can see in the photo, I could make a new cat with all that fur and she still is full afterwards. by @harleyshellhammer
