My life is quite chaotic… and I love it!

One day I’m working football for 12+ hours, and the next I’m in heels making appearances or practicing for pageants. Somewhere in between, I’m building a media company, volunteering in my community, and building my faith while pouring into others.

It’s a little all over the place but I wouldn’t trade it for anything that makes me simple.

If you want to see how I manage my Rubik’s cube of a life follow along, I’ll fill you in 🤍

It’s called balance🤣

Between trying to fit in with the girlies in pageants and working in a male dominated field doing the heavy lifting, I’ve found that shapeshifting is kinda fun.

Depending on how you meet me, you would be surprised by all the stories I could tell. However one thing that won’t change is the joy that I find in each space.

You must know…

I’m a PK or pastors kid.

I wasn’t born into it and I never acknowledge it as some super special title.

I’ve never been ashamed to tell people but I’ll be honest, the conversation use to bother me because it meant that l’m viewed differently.

Suddenly behaviors start to change.
after mentioning it to people that didn’t know beforehand.

At the invitation to go to church some disappear.

At the proclamation of my faith others grow hesitant.

And generally I’m told that being a pk makes sense to my character though sometimes I can’t decide whether it’s meant as a compliment or insult.

Regardless it is my life. A part of me that I didn’t necessarily choose but I wouldn’t know who I am without it.

So if you decide to stay know that the mentioning of Christ is unavoidable and if you decide to leave I’ll remain the same.

Regardless of a follower count or trying to have a large number of friends in proximity, being a light is far more important and my page will reflect that.

So now that I’ve cleared the air I’m curious to know if there are any other pk or mks or even church leaders that have the same experience? Share in the comments.

The parts of your story you want to skip are often the parts that someone needs to hear.

We can get lost in trying to hide bits and pieces of who we are to create a certain image of ourselves. However what I’ve learned with sharing details, and experiences that are good or bad, it can allow you to connect with a lot more people.
