It is with so much pride, honor and excitement that as of today I can officially announce I am the new Program Director of @c895radio! 💜

This is a moment that I have worked for since the moment I stepped into the Advanced Radio class at Nathan Hale High School in 2005. That’s 20 years of on air shifts, music, UCs, events, DJ sets, live remotes, staring at GSelector and Audition, not to mention learning from every adult, student, mentor, fellow on air personality, supervisor and so many, many more inside c895 and far beyond.

I am beyond honored to take up this position of leadership at a radio station, in community and as a part of city that I absolutely adore. Words cannot express what this means to me and…all that I have planned for this new era of myself and c895.

I could not have arrived at this point without the support of my family family (especially my mom for turning on the radio in 1998 and telling me I could “be on this radio station some day!”) and my c895 family, not to mention the amazing network of friends, mentors and role models in the music industry and beyond.

This is a new beginning that started a very long time ago and….I cant wait to see what’s next! taken in DANCE 89.5 by @harmonysoleil

I’m honored to join the @RecordingAcademy’s 2025 New Member Class—an inspiring global community of creators and professionals who are shaping the future of music.

As a member, I now have a voice in the GRAMMY Awards process and a platform to advocate for our industry, support my peers, and grow in my own journey.

What makes the Academy strong is its diversity—of genres, experiences, and voices. I’m excited to contribute my perspective and help champion musical excellence around the world. #IAmTheAcademy

A killer 🔪 summer

This summer was unlike any other I’ve ever had. I worked hard, played hard, DJ’d and danced even harder.

Let’s hope the same energy comes this fall but…..maybe with more dancing (and no more full radio station rebrands)! 😮‍💨🥲

Do you know what happened 1️⃣8️⃣ years ago this week in DANCE 89.5 history?! We are diving in this week because…

Mother Monster @ladygaga came to Nathan Hale High School on August 17th, 2008 and nothing was ever the same.

This week on the WARM Interview Series: @harmonysoleil from @c895radio.
Every week, after the chart drops on @billboardcharts and Billboard.com, we speak with artists and industry voices shaping the scene. Going beyond the WARM Global Dance Radio Chart, we ask the people driving it what’s really going on.

Same 4 questions. Different perspectives - sharing insights on the chart, the scene, dance music and the future of radio.

As Program Director, Music Director, host and DJ at Seattle’s @c895radio, Harmony Soleil has been a driving force in dance radio for two decades. After joining C89.5 as a student in 2005, she has grown alongside the station into one of the most respected voices in U.S. dance music radio championing new artists, mentoring the next generation of broadcasters and helping connect Seattle’s local scene to the global dance music community.

This week, she shares her thoughts on:
➡️ Why radio remains relevant because of its unique connection to local communities
➡️ The growing momentum behind drum & bass in the U.S.
➡️ Why @prospa__ are continuing to push house music forward with a fresh sound and standout live shows
➡️ And why @hugelthug, @imaelangel and @ultranatemusic’s “Movin’ To The Sun” might already be her song of the summer

Who would you like us to interview next and hear insights from? Drop a comment and tag the person you’d like to see featured below 👇
