The marathon is a brutal teacher. 4:16:30.

To say I’m gutted is an understatement. I was feeling great, locked into my pace, and exactly where I wanted to be right through 30k. Then, my right hamstring decided its race was over.

I spent the last 12k in absolute survival mode, bargaining with my legs just to reach the finish line. It’s not the time I trained for, and it’s a tough pill to swallow right now, but I refused to DNF. Time to heal up and rewrite this finish line next time. 💔🏃‍♂️ by @haroldpw24
