The best way to experience a place is through its food and its art.Studio hopped around Ubud this weekend for @ubudopenstudios — textiles, traditional palm sculptures, paintings, prints, leather work, and a jungle disco ball. The creativity and inspiration on this island is genuinely endless. Already have my eye on some artists I’d love to work with on future @proudmaryglobal collections. 😍 x Harper by @harperpoe

I rarely remember my dreams but a few nights ago I dreamt of pink water lilys in a dark pond. It felt like the blooms and cool green stems were jumping out at me. Not in a little shop of horrors way but in a, hey look at me…notice me way. I asked Claude what the dream meant and the answer was quite beautiful…The contrast is doing the work — that deep dark water making the pink and green almost luminous. Your eye knows that. You live inside color and texture, so your dreaming mind probably speaks that language fluently.If anything, I’d just let it be beautiful. Not everything needs translation. Some dreams are just your nervous system handing you a painting.…the fact that I use AI for dream interpretations feels normal but the response feels quite intimate (it’s partially bc I use it often and built in my “voice”) which while I quite love the words freaks me out a bit. Beyond work efficiencies and professional thought partnership, should we use AI for personal reflection? Can it push us further into our humaness or will it inevitably speed up the separation? 🌸 by @harperpoe

Ever and I have been in Bali now for 8 months. The time has flown by but also at times crept along…every week finding the balance between soaking it all in and just being in the groove of daily life. School, football, groceries, doctor’s appointments. I tend to feel at home in the in-betweens (for better or worse) so this pace of life feels quite natural to me…amplified, but natural. The thing I’ve loved the most is how much we notice things now. Or maybe just how interested we are in noticing. Or maybe we’re just forced into being present because there are a thousand ways to die everyday (sorry Mom).Having a motorbike instead of a car is a huge part of it. I’m present because I have to be. Ever is closer to me and closer to everything around him, not separated by a car window. When we drive past the same vendor everyday you can’t help but notice him, what is the same and what is different. And I love when Ever leans up and asks me if I also noticed something. In sync with each other and what’s happening around us. It’s his school too…no walls to separate him from outside…learning WITH all the elements, noises, etc. not shutting them out. Noticing, integrating, and moving on. And, I think the noticing does something…it builds curiosity, which amplifies creativity, which in turn sharpens noticing. It’s a loop that feeds itself. Building that sense of curiosity. Love that for him (and me) 🤍 by @harperpoe
