Mom, you may be 50 now, but as every year passes, you look even younger and stronger than the year before. I am honored to have such a strong, supportive, capable, and determined woman in my life, and even more grateful to be able to call that woman my mom.
You are the mom most people wish they had. Even before I had a heartbeat, you took care of me. You have never once left my side. Instead, you have supported me through every journey I’ve faced, held my hand during my darkest times, spent endless hours playing dress-up and dolls with me, and put so much time and effort into making me the happiest girl in the world. Through the nights you slept beside me because I stayed up for hours crying, through every moment I questioned my faith, my future, or my past, and through every hospital trip you had to make while I was struggling, you never left my side, Mom.
As we’ve both grown older, I’ve come to realize that you are truly the one woman who will never leave my side. You are my best friend, my rock, my biggest supporter, and the shoulder I can always cry on. The things you used to do that once annoyed me are now the things I cherish most.
I love how we’re able to share clothes, makeup, shoes, and jewelry. Even though you’re a silver girl and I’m a gold girl, we always make it work. You’ve built such a strong foundation for me that I know I’ll be able to become a successful woman in the real world. I feel so much comfort and confidence knowing that I will be passionate about whatever I choose to do in life because your strength and determination have shaped who I am.
Every moment I spend with you is a moment I will forever hold close to my heart even if it’s only for two minutes. You are such a fun, giddy, energetic, enjoyable, person-and a party animal 😉. You are my sunshine on the cloudiest days, the newest fashion piece on the hanger, and simply the best thing in the store.
Mom, I could go on and on about just how amazing of a mother you are to me, a daughter you are to Grandma, and how intelligent you are in this messed up world, but it says my caption is too long 😤
