Friday was a special day on campus! 🎓

Harpur’s Ferry was proud to provide standby coverage for the inauguration of Binghamton University’s new president, Anne D’Alleva. We are grateful for her ongoing support of the Harpur’s Ferry mission and vision for the future. Congratulations to President D’Alleva on this exciting new chapter, we cannot wait to see the legacy she builds for Binghamton!

🦃🍂 We are thrilled to share that Thanksgiving in a Box is back for its 10th year! 🧡

Each $50 monetary donation provides a full Thanksgiving meal: turkey, sides, pie materials, and more, to a local family in need to take the financial burden of Thanksgiving off their plates. All meals will be delivered to a local school district to support families in our community.💛

Introducing August’s Member of the Month, Luke Viggiano!

Luke is a Senior Biology major who joined Harpur’s Ferry in Spring 2025. He is our wonderful Personnel Officer and a cleared Crew Chief. His favorite thing about Harpur’s Ferry is “being able to go to the squadroom and always having someone to talk to.”

The membership chose Luke as our Member of the Month because of his dedication to running and organizing the Membership Committee, constant positivity and kindness, and commitment to being a role model for our younger members.

In May, we were honored to be recognized for multiple awards at the Susquehanna Regional EMS Council (SREMS) Awards Night! SREMS coordinates EMS across Broome, Tioga, and Chenango counties, recognizing outstanding providers, educators, and agencies each year. We are proud to announce the following honors:

🚑 Harpur’s Ferry Student Volunteer Ambulance Service has been named Broome County EMS Agency of the Year!

We’d also like to celebrate three outstanding members of our Harpur’s Ferry family:

Introducing May’s Member of the Month, Weston Nolan!

Weston is a Sophomore Integrative Neuroscience major who joined Harpur’s Ferry in Fall 2024. He is our current Director of Operations and was the 2025-2026 Equipment, Technology, and Communications Officer! He is an AEMT, Driver/Crew Chief/UTV Preceptor, and a Trailer Driver. His favorite thing about Harpur’s Ferry is “the culture and everyone’s commitment to excellence.”

The membership chose Weston as our Member of the Month because of his hard work in leadership, commitment to becoming cleared and training others, and being a fun and supportive member of our agency.
