Hart Crane is (a)live and online. “Talk” is out now!

I could tell you what the song is about and how I made it, but maybe you should just go listen to it? It’s yours now, after all.

Special thanks to Brad / @repetition.info for getting this song out the door and including me in ‘Schema’ - a beautiful collection of songs all recorded to the same tape machine. Go check it out! by @hart.crane

‘Daydream’ is out and on mine and Hart’s half birthday no less. No gifts please - just go listen.

Before you do, I want you to think about this line - “I’m gonna change your mind.” There’s so much hate being directed towards trans ppl, and I’m in a position to respond with an invitation to understanding. I want people to hear this song. People who might not like me/it if they ‘knew.’ Share it, please?

I made this song with my brother, @aleroubini who put an egregious number of hours into it. Thank you to everyone who lent their hands and ears. You make my daydreams come true.

‘Astronomer’ is out! When I wrote this I was grappling with the reality of self-fulfillment and sacrifice—what you give up in life to become yourself, and what you give up when you don’t. Decisions bring about loss as much as they do joy. It feels tricky to talk about grief in the context of the trans experience. We need pride. We need strength. And those seem in conflict with an expression of aching. But I don’t think they are. There is so much strength in the refusal to ignore pain.

I’m sending this out into the ether now, hoping it finds trans people who are struggling with loneliness and isolation. I want you to know you are not alone out there. Please don’t give up. We will get back home.

Thank you @aleroubini for making this with me. It means everything to do it with you.

Astronomer comes out next week (7/15). Pre save link in bio! Like all my music, this song is especially for trans/queer people, and I hope it finds you and makes you feel just a little bit warmer out there in space. It’s comforting to me to remember that the specificity of our experience can be quite universal

The next single off the EP comes out in a week! It’s called ‘Make It True’ and it’s about the powers of delusion. Anything is possible? Seems like it. Don’t forget to be delusional today, and go ahead and hit that link in my bio 😙 by @hart.crane

One of these photos is the album art for my cover of ‘Wuthering Heights,’ which I’m releasing on Friday (3/6)!! My parents took these photos in Ireland in 1997. So they’re not at all faithful to the original story. Remind you of anything??
