A dream to be on stage amongst all these legendary talents. These stars bet on themselves everytime despite the odds stacked up against them. They could have found any excuse why they shouldn’t or couldn’t but came and did what they were supposed to do. This was the 10th @soulsoireeco and I’m performed a piece that came from my mind. Acting can feel so vulnerable, especially when you’re on stage alone. The audience was so locked in that I was reminded that we are never actually alone. They were with us all the damn way. My love for acting has stayed with me since when I was a kid back in the Bronx. I used to go to co-op city to watch movies with my mom nearly every weekend at that raggedy AMC theater. I saw all these different worlds it would allow me to explore and I wanted to be in every one of them. It’s when I get to be human on purpose and speak in poetry.So when the opportunity came to perform at the legendary @soulsoireeco I had to take it.
