I was on a beautiful radical faerie boat trip yesterday and I had to pinch myself to be aware of how privileged I am.

In Denmark we live in a bubble, away from all the real sufferings because we can - and yet we still support and arm the sufferings, because we can.

With radical faeries, we visited Trekroner Fort where I had to put this gorgeous location to a good use - aka doing my cat cat to the walk walk! 🐈‍⬛️

Especially this location, a fortress to protect Cph against an invasion, and this little catwalk reminded me of my early teen days and just before I left Kabul to move to Denmark. So we go way back to when Taliban ruled Afghanistan for the first time, before 2000s. This catwalk hit my core and reminded me of who I was even before I took my first breath in the West.

It took me back to the times where I was literally not giving two fucks about who the government of a country was and the consequences of my own actions.

It took me back to the day where I was, unknowingly, performing my first formal drag - all for free.
Thanks to my mom's gorgeous blue burqa, her dress, her pants and her shoes which I could perfectly fit at the time of only being 13 years old. I would put them all together and told my siblings to keep an eye on my cat cat to the walk walk from one of our apartment balconies.

Having this reflection and reminding myself of my past bravery since a young age has helped me empower my present me - and I would love to empower those voiceless voices lost in a world full of sufferings.

Thank you @repeat_repeat_dk for the boat trip and @aderrosas and SunFlower for being the cutest faeries with cameras which we usually don't uae at all in a faerie setting 🧚🏽‍♂️💚

Aloha cuties 👋🏻
This is a #thursdaythrowback from exactly 3 years ago. Back in 2022 and post lockdown, I had the pleasure to work at the wardrobe of a club called @jolenebar
This place became my playground and my safe-space to wear what I want and be who I am. Aaaaaaand child, what I didn't know was that I was becoming my unapologetic self one shift at a time. I realized that I was a cute little birdie ready to break free and leave my cage 🐦
I also learned that I've always been a creative person and was introduced to fashion from an early age by my auntie in Afghanistan. And yes she is still my first ever fashion icon and if you want to know more about my adventures with her to Western second hand shops in Afghanistan, do let me know and I'll make a post about it.
So you might be wondering why am i sharing all of this? Well, well, well. The answer is very simple. I've a loooot to say when it comes to fashion and especially styling.
I mean scroll again and tell me that you clocked 3 hats in 1? Would love to know which one of you spotted that👀 I hope you are taking notes - a free tip for you 🤣

I've experimented and been to endless fleamarkets, look at the messy room, to find unique pieces for the perfect fit. Aaaaand now is my time to put my skills to work and transform one wardrobe at a time.

So I am looking to collaborate with creative minds for whatever project as long as it involves at least one item of clothing 😅 Also if you agree, please share this post or tag the right ppl as I'll make my IG go public today 🤞🏼

What do you wear when you go to @robynkonichiwa concert after-party and rumours has it that both her and @zaralarsson are most probably coming? Well, this was my take. Inspired by midnight sun and a little homage to the Swedish pop queens who did, after all, not show up or at least I did not see any of them. Did you?👀

This look was too much for the undercover police that he had to search me. He literally said "since you are not wearing much clothes, we need to check your bag!" Not a joke and @britneyspeeed is my witness 😅🤪🙄🙈 Always secuuuuuure the bag!
Apart from that situation, this look is inspired by the economics of gold. This fit is a combo of a bodysuit and actually a dress. Ironically I found both in two different flea markets in Copenhagen. by @haseebsafi

So my therapist encouraged me to increase the activities which make me feel me authentically to my coooore. And I was like challenge accepted!
To be honest I did not consider putting yet another outfit to feel meee.
Noooo, my initial thoughts were to go back to the gym, my yoga mat, meditation and prayers. And of course all of that from next week, right😅🙄🙈
For now focus on the weekend where I thought one of my dear friends and colleagues had her bday.
I charged my social batteries to go for the bday but was feeling uninspired and really did not want to put too much effort into my look.
SoOooo, my approach to this look was to think about the person who's bday I am about to attend and what this person mean to me!
Sonia is the name of my friend and she means; female empowerment, red hair, leather, and an activist / advocate for human rights. With these key words, I felt an instant inspiration and came up with this look in less than 5min. Went to find her and the only thing I found was that her bday is on Monday and her bday celebration is on Sunday 🥺🤪
@imnotsonia_ I know I promised to wear this again for you and I did not because I felt overwhelmed on the day. Buuuuut, I just want to share my appreciation for making me a stronger person in life and also at work. The way you care for another person leaves marks and awakens the strength of my soul and my entire being. So thank you for stretching my being and it might not be in the gym, on my yoga mat or on my prayer mat, but it is felt in all of those areas and beyond 😅
