Would you surf this wave?

This is the Eisbachwelle, located at the southern edge of the English Garden, directly underneath and next to the Prinzregentenstraße bridge. People have been surfing here for 40 years and it is considered a challenging surf spot, not suitable for beginners. We loved sitting along thr water's edge, watching the surfers with plenty of other onlookers. apparently, surfers brave this wave year-round (i could never...i was cold simply sitting there watching!)

Travel, unpack, grocery shop, cool dinner, completet school work, explore the new neighborhood, repeat.

we've done this so often, we've become pros. it's always fun to arrive at a new place! so far, we've stayed in some awesome rentals. they've all been special to us because they hold the memories of the specific city. what an amazing adventure we're on!

saw today, probably
the thing I was most
impressed by was the
Melaten Cementery, Cologne's largest graveyard. On the grounds of the Melaten farm, the land used to be a home for lepers until 1767. We loved walking around this park-like cemetery. So much history and revitalization. life and death. beauty and sadness. Have you ever been to Cologne?
