🐲 DRAGON'S DOGMA II : DARK ARISEN ⚔️

I joined the team at @molinarepost to assist the dialogue recording as a VOICE DIRECTOR for the new Dragon's Dogma II: Dark Arisen DLC.

Appreciation, as always, to the fabulous Sasha James @eggfrieddog & Dionne Wong and to long standing Dragon's Dogma II Director, @ieshthapar, for welcoming me with open arms onto the team.

Big thanks to my good pals @jedmiltonsound
& Bruno Vilhar for their hard work on the desks.

An honour to have worked alongside Capcom on one of their projects as a director.

I also got to visit the Capcom stand and play the demo at Gamescom where I witnessed players having a great time with the boss fights - although I was rubbish and got destroyed!

Pretty cool seeing the enormous posters around the Koelmesse. Such fun!

Stills taken from the awesome @motioncapture4_uk BTS footage filmed by @andycurdproductions in our collaborative venture alongside @_sparrowfilms_ with XR Studios

Thank you @chris_wolff_stunts, @dan_elkington, @abigailrayner_
@_bethanyforrester @dannyjenko & @redmanalfie
for all your efforts during an intense but fulfilling day. 👏

And big love to @rosstownsendgreen for being such a formidable 1st AD.

Directing was something I never knew was going to be my job. I'm privileged to be able to say I've worked on a variety of work of many genres all off my own back and I'm honoured whenever I'm invited to work on something especially as Lead. (Of about 50 projects in 6 years now)

Never formally trained. Never went to drama school. I'm actually a Uni Drop-Out. Learned my skills on the job or anecdotally from my acting career where for a long time I felt I had to work a LOT harder to get through doors.

As soon as I was introduced to this line of work, I've never looked back.

This work is a blessing and I will never take it for granted.

Seeing my name in a credit roll never gets old but it's doubly special when your studio kindly give you top spot. ❤️

I love working with @omuk_london as not only does it harbour a suitable environment to spark creativity it's made up of a group of people not afraid to roll their sleeves up to make great audio for games and there's a reason it has been going for 30 years.

Graveyard Keeper II is a firm example of team work and collaborative energy.

I'm always happy to see these people, and those not featured in this list, when I walk in first thing in the morning.

💀 GRAVEYARD KEEPER II 💀

I got involved with the hilarious nonsense of the Graveyard Keeper universe as VOICE DIRECTOR for its sequel.

A great humoured Farming Sim/Zombie Apocalypse game featuring an eclectic mix of characters who not only gave the game a voice but also provided the fan-beloved gibberish too!

Shout out to Nikita Kulaga from @lazybeargames for letting me find every opportunity to rinse the comedy out of the script and allowing me to make our everyman Keeper Welsh as performed by the wonderful @tobias_weatherburn 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

And, of course, praise to my co-conspirators in Dialogue Recording: Lukas Jakubenas, James Hazel & Josh Hayward plus the wider @omuk_london Team:

Prod Manager/Casting Director: Freda D'Souza
Prod Assistant/Casting Assistant: Mia Coffield
Dialogue Editing: Tom Murton
Joel Douglas

🕵‍♂️ SHERLOCK & CO 🕵‍♂️

Two full houses of the Purcell Room at the @southbankcentre with @sherlockandcopod at @goalhangerhq's 'Rest Is Fest'.

8 years ago, I befriended a lovely, funny man called @ad.jarrell who I starred in a Frankie Valli tribute show with. We bonded over stupid impressions and found ourselves having constant laughs on and off-stage. He told me about this Podcast he and his mate Joel Emery (who I eventually befriended) were doing called The Offensive, resulting in them writing in a character for me.

Little did I know that being constantly bullied in Podcast form as Theo Clinton would one day lead to being at the Southbank Centre reading my mates' work for their most successful series to date in front of their avid listeners.

I am deeply grateful to have been so vastly welcomed by the Sherlock & Co fans as my obscenely long list of characters featured in the adventures, but most importantly the reception to my interpretation of Mycroft Holmes. 🍸

Meeting you all properly having flown in from countries like the US, Canada, Romania, Netherlands, Mexico is simply astonishing and humbles this bearded, sweaty man.

This has certainly been a core memory for me and an honour being able to share it with @paul_waggott , @harryatters @nanaluvren , @jemmarevell , @mikeylyle369 in a room where we could bounce off each other, rather than stuck in our various home booths/cupboards/pillow forts, before 300 people watching our syncronised processes live.

Even had my dear friends @acushlatara, @wincottandrew, @tomsowinski1, and the wonderful @shakasonic team in ❤️

Audio drama is often an overlooked art form but its so refreshing to see people like Tony Pastor and Neil Fearn really invest in what this sect of media has to offer. Especially how it transfers to live experiences.

More of this, please!

PS - Sh&Co Bruce Partington Plans Part 3 is out tomorrow feat. more Mycroft & Bear Hunt episodes 1 & 2 are out on 10th September. 🐻

Onimusha: Way of The Sword is out now where you can cut me in half. A LOT. 🗡

I provided Additional Voices for the Hitotsume Gasa, Kogashira Genma and various humans.

You best believe I did a lot of gross death noises when I was the first in a bunch to find the right voice for the gruntish Genma.

For Aaron from Capcom's Audio team: 'the wetter, the better'.

As soon as I got to perform over the first execution animation video, I knew I wanted to play this. 😍

The fan boy in me can't believe I go to work with @officialcapcom and a big thank you to @molinarepost, @soundwarriors_ & @voice_molinare for having me under the watchful direction of the talented @hannahrp & @mymatemarmite.

I was fortunate enough to see the Onimusha stand at @gamescom but I had no chance of playing the demo as the queues were HUGE both days I went!

As always, massive appreciation to @nordlingstalent for giving me this experience 💚

Go slaughter the genma and listen out for my gurgles 😎

8 years of performing against each other in Audio Dramas and this week I finally got to give Doc John Watson & Mary Morstan @paul_waggott & @acushlatara a MASSIVE hug.
