✨ The bloom and its reflection-a study of colour matching ✨

A bespoke hat to match a phenomenal print. The inspiration took me to a magical garden, part tulip, part tropical rainforest- — sage green, with a wild bursts of hot fuchsia and a demure butter yellow bow. 🌷 A floating flower arrangement in ainnamay straw, feathers and crin.

And then the magic: the dress below picking up every one of those shades and letting them swirl, as though the hat had bloomed and its reflection rippled out across water. 💧🌸

That was the whole thought behind this bespoke piece. Not a hat that matches a dress — a hat that’s mirrored by one. Look up for the flower, look down for its reflection. ✨

Worn with all the joy it deserves by the wonderfully colourful Victoria. 🌈💗

✨ Rolling up my sleeves for Ladies’ Day ✨

My Royal Ascot look this year: a striking red power suit by Marina Rinaldi, topped — obviously — with one of my own hats in layers tonal sinamay to create complex textures. 🎩❤️

Turns out red was the colour of the season in more ways than one. I’ll let Spain take the trophy 🇪🇸⚽ (Whoop whoop) — but the best-dressed lawn? I’m making no promises to hand that one over. 😏

Sleeves up, chin up, champagne in hand. Because power dressing hits differently when there’s a feathered headpiece involved. 🥂

Sometimes you don’t need a dress and a saucer hat. Sometimes you need a sharp red suit and the confidence to wear it. 🔥

✨Looks like Murano glass. Started life as a plastic bottle. ✨

Meet “Living Lace” — worn beautifully by the wonderful @dilebetta in the Royal Enclosure. 🌿

Every glossy leaf, every glinting bead you see here was once a discarded plastic bottle, coaxed and sculpted by hand into something that catches the light like blown Venetian glass. Look closely — you’d never guess. That’s rather the point. 💚

There’s a lovely irony in it: the most photographed lawn in Britain, the strictest dress code in the calendar, and a hat quietly made from what most people throw away. Beauty and conscience, arm in arm. ♻️

Because true luxury was never about what a thing costs — it’s about what it says. And this one says you can be the most glamorous woman on the lawn and kind to the planet, no compromise required. 🌍✨

✨ Pinch me moments — the official faces of BBC Ladies Day coverage ✨

My girls front and centre of the Royal Ascot Ladies Day coverage, representing the whole day. I may have shrieked a little. 📸👒

There’s nothing quite like seeing something you shaped by hand out in the wild — catching the light, catching the camera, worn by people you adore!

A little scale for the moment: 70,000 people pour in on Ladies Day, 56,000 bottles of champagne get popped across the week, and every look is carefully chosen, including the hats which have to clear the infamous dress code check at the gates! .

It is quite a unique experience!

✨ Sunkissed and Victorious ✨

2026 Royal Ascot Ladies Day turned on a proper scorcher this year — and still, the warmest glow on the lawn wasn’t coming from the sky. 🎩

Loved how gorgeous @vikkerzzz styled the “SunKissed” large brim Breton style hat. Buttercup yellow, layers of linen and organza, a ribbon of summer blue… Golden hour, bottled and worn all day long.

If you are fortunate to know Victoria, you know that she is the sun ☀️ ! In every room!

✨ Surviving a city heatwave, one brim at a time! ☀️ ✨

The pavement is sizzling. The air is doing nothing. And somehow, everyone still has somewhere to be. 🫠

So here’s my survival guide — and yes, it involves a hat. 👒

A wide brim is shade you carry with you. Straw lets your head breathe. Pale colours send the sun packing. And on a day too hot to even think about hair? A hat solves everything. 💁‍♀️

The secret isn’t suffering through it in something sensible and dull. It’s letting the practical thing also be the beautiful thing.

✨ A polka dot is never just a dot, it’s a style education! ✨

Meet “Dot Dot Dot” — a bespoke piece made for the wonderful Anna @annasobina for Royal Ascot, which would not be out of place for most summer events.🤍🖤

Wide-brimmed, ribbon-streamed, and spotted from head to hem…

Polka dot has long been the secret language of Ascot royalty. Princess Diana wore spots to the races in ’88, hat perfectly matched to dress — and decades later the Catherine Princess of Wales echoed her, spot for spot (scroll for cheeky reference) . A print that whispers nostalgia and shouts confidence in the very same breath. 🐎

This particular silhouette - inspired by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli couture, drawing on the slightly surreal, gamified and the feeling of joy. This hat is my little bow to Schiaparelli: playful, bold, just a touch theatrical. A dot with a sense of humour. 🎩

✨ Ascot rule #1: never arrive without your people ✨

Because what’s a winning hat without someone to gasp at it? 👒🥂

We came for the horses. We stayed for the champagne, the side-eye over who wore it best, and approximately 4,000 photos. 📸😅

There were heels kicked off by 5pm. There were bets placed on absolutely no logic except for the colours. There was at least one “just one more glass.” And there was a lot of laughing at our own jokes under very large brims.

The hats turn heads. But the girls? They make the day. 💕

Same time next year, ladies. Bring the feathers. 🪶

A milliner 👒 and a florist 💐. Two pairs of hands, two very different mediums — and yet, somehow, the same instinct: of colour, freedom and joy. To take the natural world and make it unforgettable. ✨
