2026 Spring / Summer Skateboarding Lessons are back! 🌅
New Age, Skill & Time structure to help learn the basics to get you rolling confidently quicker and having fun with your mates. ✅😎

- Wednesdays 5PM - Weather Permitting
- Norwood Rd Skate Park , Paeroa
- $5 Each , 30-40min Group Lessons
- Age 5-8 Beginners 5-5.30pm
- Age 9+ Beginners 5.30-6pm
- Age 10+ Advanced 6-6.30pm

Skateboards & Helmets Provided 🙂
Bring your water bottle, covered shoes and a positive attitude 👌🏼🛹

What are we upto?! Read ⬇️

Our focus is to grow skateboarding in the local community. At the moment there is not much happening here in the Hauraki District when it comes to Skateboarding. With the new park being built in Waihi we thought we could give it a go to see where we get to.

Mission 1
Waihi is getting a new park, hopefully ready by December. Going to be solid!
Paeroa has two parks one in Railway Reserve, another on Norwood Rd (OG Old Park) both are quite weathered.
We have weighed up what we have available and our focus is to Skate, Renovate & Maintain the OG Old Park, Norwood Rd, Paeroa.
We are bringing in new obstacles as of now, but we are in the process to gather funding for professional Diamond Concrete Grinding of the park.
Then we will be focusing on adding permanent concreted obstacles in later future but for now we are picking a select few timber options.
Already the vibes picking up over there. More skaters, more vibes.

Mission 2
We have a few boards at the moment, but the goal is once the parks Diamond Grinded we will have weekly free skate classes. 1 day a week in groups, Boards & Helmets provided, pads you must bring yourselves but we will try hustle some to share.
The goal is to gather interest from anyone who’s keen. All ages

Mission 3
SKATE
Skate crew, skate missions & road trips, skate schools, skate streets, filming & photography and so on.
Growth to Waihi and other towns will come with it in good timing.
All the things skateboarding brings. Life time mates, skills and experiences.

So that’s what we are upto. For the love of skateboarding.
Any support is great, talk about it with mates, and let’s see how the next few weeks roll.

Massive thanks to Rotary Club Paeroa for donating these skateboards, helmets and first aid kit to Hauraki Skate, grassroots skateboarding getting the younger generation outside having fun and keeping active in a safe environment 🛹

We appreciate these donations to keep our skate lessons rolling and for people who may not have a board or helmets yet. ✅🙏🏼

Schedule Update! 😎No Skate Lessons till Wednesday 30th September.

Since Daylight savings is around the corner, we have made the plan to have a break and plan our Summer Schedule. The demand for skateboarding lessons are high and we want to make sure we can adapt to offer the best lessons for you and the young bucks. ✅🛹

Changes to look forward to:

- Lessons move to Wednesdays 5pm
- Starts 30th Sep, Last one 2nd December.
- Occasional Weekend morning lessons.
- New 30-45min timeframes working with age/ability for example each block for age 5-8/ beginners, age 9/12 beginner , age 10/ adult advanced.
- $5 per Lesson
- Compulsory Helmets
- Respect the space while lessons are on and use the other park if possible. The size of the park is too small to have adults flying around through new beginners trying to learn.It’s unsafe.

Skating doesn’t stop though, we will all still be down there over the coming weeks ☀️

We’re looking forward to the summer season, and can’t wait to give this new structure a good go! 👊🏼
We will be working in the background to get us a shade structure & a drinking water fountain ! Let’s go! 😁

Concrete Refurbishment from the sky! Who can see and feel the difference? 😁

This was the ‘big job’ that needed to be done and now skateboarding is back in the Hauraki District. Full skatepark everyday the suns out ☀️

Massive day at the park today! The momentum for skateboarding in Paeroa is huge. The concrete refurbishment has helped so much with the functionality of the park and the kid’s confidence.

No rain stopping us now!

Skateboarding Lessons @ The Carehouse Paeroa , this Wednesday 8th July. $5 Entry , All Welcome.

All money goes towards getting a shade structure , footpath and drinking fountain for the skate park.

Run it back! The place we all used to skate has had a refresh, Ready for us to jam again.. 😁

We will be bringing in the skate van with multiple obstacles for you to practice and learn on. Skateboards provided, bring your own helmets. Under 16yo Helmets are compulsory. (We have a few)

Music - BBQ - Best Trick Jams - Spot Prizes

12pm - 1pm Skate Lessons - $2 per person
1pm - 2.30pm BBQ & Young Skaters Jam / Best Tricks
2.30pm - 4pm Advanced Skaters Jam / Best Tricks

Entering the Jam sessions will be $2 😊

BBQ / Drinks will be gold $2 each - all funds will go towards building a shade structure for the skatepark. 🌅

This event is weather permitting, but we do have a back up plan for indoors if it does rain! 😎
