The veil has lifted, but something stayed.

That’s how it always goes after a night like that. The world shifts back into ordinary time and you’re supposed to just return to it, but you’re not quite the same person who walked in.

Still in it. Still her. 🖤✨

The veil between worlds is thin tonight.

Not just a saying. A feeling. A knowing that lives in your bones if you let it.

Samhain is the moment the dead walk closer, the unseen becomes seen, and the parts of yourself you’ve been avoiding finally have nowhere left to hide.

I felt all of that in this room. In this light. In this body.

This is what it looks like when you stop performing and start becoming.

Thank you @letscreatephotographi for holding the space and the vision. This is what happens when two creatives trust the dark. 🕯️🖤✨

Honestly struggled to choose because every single one of them hit 🔥

Thank you @letscreatephotographi for seeing exactly what I was going for and then making it better. This is what happens when you put two creatives in a dark room with and no rules.

Happy Halloween, loves. May your night be as dark and beautiful as you are. 🕯️🖤✨

Photography isn’t something I do just when I have free time.

It’s what I think about when I wake up.
It’s what I’m planning in the back of my mind during every conversation.
It’s the reason I’m outside in 90 degree heat, or maneuvering , at a weird angle, trying to get the shot.

If you’ve been sleeping on booking your session, consider this your sign. 🖤✨

The kind that makes people feel something. 🖤

These are some of my favorites from our Spooky Season Creative Meetup, dark, moody, editorial, and exactly the kind of work I love creating with people who trust my vision.

This is why I shoot. Not just to take photos, but to make art.

If you’re in the Greenville area and want to create something like this together, let’s connect.

This is the season I actually belong to.

The one where the shadow work pays off. Where the darkness isn’t something to hide from.

It’s something to move through, embody, and wear like a second skin.🕯️

She was always here. October just gives her the space to be loud about it. 🖤

You’re welcome. 🖤

The waterfall was calling and we answered.

October really said let her be everything at once. 🖤🕯️

Spooky season is my season. Always has been. Something about the veil thinning, the darkness getting comfortable, the permission to be exactly as much as you are without apology.

Inpsired by Cardi’s recent Tiny Desk concert, these are some things I needed to say out loud this month.

Swipe through and tell me which one found you. 👇🖤

There is something that happens when I get near the water. Something ancient in me remembers itself.

These were taken at the waterfall by the incredibly talented @bjg_visual_images, and when he posted about this meetup, I felt the timing was nothing short of divine.

Shooting at a waterfall has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. Some things just arrive exactly when they’re supposed to.

Natural everything.
No performance.
Just presence.
Just me and the water and whatever version of myself shows up when the noise goes quiet.

With Samhain season approaching and the veil thinning, I’ve been feeling the pull of my roots more than ever.

My lineage.
My ancestors.

The parts of myself that existed long before anyone had the chance to tell me who I was supposed to be.

The water always brings her back.

Is there a place that does this for you? Somewhere that makes you feel like yourself again the moment you arrive? 🖤

I am so incredibly proud of my friend @sahmed326 aka @wide_eyed_poetess

She stepped out of her comfort zone to attend the Spooky Season Creative meetup that @bjg_visual_images and I co-hosted and she killed it!

Bring a blanket. Bring the kids. Bring the ones you love.

I’ll bring my voice, so I’ll bring THE VIBES. Let’s cool out.

Every Sunday from 4 to 6, I’m singing jazz, blues, and R&B on the lawn at Falls Park, right as the light turns gold and the whole city slows down.

Pack a picnic. Let the little ones dance. Lay back in the grass and let the music do what it does. No tickets, no pressure, no rush. Just good songs, warm air, and the people who make your life feel full.

Golden hour is better with a soundtrack.

Come find yours with me.✦
