Hello, my foodie friends! I’ve seen this trendy dish pop up a few times on Instagram, and I have been dying to try it: Burrata with shaved frozen tomato! 🍅 Because, let’s be honest, sometimes you just don’t want those chunky tomatoes ruining your cheese vibe, right?

So, why try it now when Caprese salad season (the summer) is over? Well, I discovered Tre Olive Oil - and they have one made just for drizzling on cheese. It’s lightly flavored with basil and oregano, adding a little extra oomph. Plus, their aged balsamic vinegar is a thick dream—no added sugar here!

Fun fact: their extra virgin olive oil comes straight from a family-owned farm in Calabria, Italy. Can you say authentic? So, are you ready to join me and give frozen shaved tomato a whirl? Let me know in the comments if you think this looks like a yay or nay!

PSA: summer is not over yet. We still have about a month left, so keep the beach chairs in the trunk, the cooler on standby, and don’t even think about packing away summer just yet.

And if you’re a New Englander, you already know: September is kind of elite. Warm days, cooler nights, fewer crowds- arguably some of the best weeks of the year.

There's one more month. Let's make it delicious!

In honor of squeezing every last drop out of summer, here are three of my favorite dishes to make before the season officially signs off:

🍽️ Grilled balsamic peaches with mascarpone

🍽️ Shrimp with saffron, mint & lime cream sauce

🍽️ Fish en papillote with tomato reduction

Find all three recipes on TheHauteLife.com - and keep the rosé cold and the grill haute!

Ten years ago, The Haute Mamas became The Haute Life- a place to tell the stories of the people, places, and businesses that made New England a little more interesting, stylish, delicious, and inspired.

At the heart of it was a simple philosophy: life is short. Live it passionately. Love what you do.

To celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we’re going into the archives and sharing one of our favorite videos from 2016, featuring some of Boston’s best bartenders doing what they do best. A decade later, you’ll definitely recognize a few of the faces, and more than a few of the places.

To everyone who took part in this video, and everyone who allowed us to tell their story over the years: thank you for being part of The Haute Life. ❤️

And ten years later, we still believe it:

Fashion colors our life.
Food warms our soul.
Love makes life worth living.

In loving memory of Tenzin Samdo.

I repost this Memorial Day article every now and then because the message shared by these three service members is timeless: Memorial Day is about sacrifice, family, duty, gratitude, and the responsibility to honor those who gave everything for the freedoms and ideals we continue to protect.

Even 10 years later and especially with current world conflicts, their words still hold true.

(Go to TheHauteLife.com to read the full article.)

A few things to note since this article was first published: Colonel Gordon Hennessy has since passed away, but our gratitude for his service, kindness, wisdom, and dedication remains. I’m so grateful to have had his voice and perspective included in this piece.

And there is also some beautiful news to share. Winique Payen was so inspired by participating in the article that he went on to write a book about his own experience and the pride he felt joining the U.S. Army as a Haitian immigrant. His story is one of courage, resilience, gratitude, and service. You can find his book Joining the Braves on Amazon- https://a.co/d/0hLc4YgQ

Thank you, Winique, for sharing your story. And of course, a huge thank you to Mr. Hennessy, Colonel Hennessy, and all of the brave men and women who have served, sacrificed, and given so much for this country.

This Memorial Day, no matter what side of the aisle you sit on, may we remember the real people, real families, and real sacrifice behind the freedoms and ideals we continue to enjoy. 🇺🇸

When I sat down with Cathy and Grace, I didn’t realize how much their story would resonate with where I am in my own life.

Standing at the door of something I know I’m meant to do…
but still holding all the questions
What if?
Am I ready?
Is it too late for me?

And what struck me most was that their journey didn’t begin early.

They re-tooled.
They took a chance.
They started over.

And somewhere in that conversation, I felt it

The same connection that their clients feel when they walk through their doors.

Not just seen… but understood.

Not just inspired… but reminded that it’s not too late.

That maybe we’re not behind…
We’re just standing at the beginning of something new.

I shared their full story on the blog, and it’s one I think so many women will connect with.

Back in 2015, I was lucky enough to be spotted on Instagram by JCPenney. They were casting 5 real women for their Spring Muse campaign… and somehow, I was one of them.

At the time we were called “bloggers”… now we’d be called “influencers.” Funny how that evolved.

We were flown to NYC and shot at Milk Studios with photographer Tom Corbett, a moment I’ll never forget.

Fast forward to today…
Not as a “muse”… just as a mom, a woman, evolving in a new season of life.

And honestly? I still love walking into JCPenney, and today I stumbled across the clearance rack, finding pieces that make me feel good.

Because let’s be real, our bodies change. Mine sure has from being stuck in survival mode for so long, my thyroid, hormonal changes from menopause…🙄.. that fitting room more times than not can mess with your confidence.

But here’s what I’ve learned…
It’s not about the size on the tag.
It’s about how you feel when you put it on.

So try the piece.
Try another.
And another.

Until something says… “pick me.”
and it will!

Real women. Real style. Always a Muse. 💫

When Jess and I talked about doing this 90’s challenge, I couldn’t believe how much I experienced in one decade.

I graduated high school, graduated college, and moved miles away from home, which taught me so much about who I am.

I ended the 90’s married and pregnant with my daughter…
a lot of milestones in one decade. Something I didn’t fully realize until I started putting this together.

When the 90’s started, I was 17, and I thought I’d move to NYC and become a fashion designer…
but life had other plans.

Instead, I moved to Colorado with a high school friend to experience something different.
Far from NYC and the runways—but I like to think I left a little of my signature style on the streets of Telluride.

That chapter changed me in ways that felt true to who I am.

When I came home, I got a job… and I fell in love.
But the real lesson?
No matter where I was in life, I was always true to myself.

I’m a little envious I don’t have the photos or videos to document it the way we do today…
but there’s something so carefree and personal about having a decade of growth and memories stored within me, mine to replay anytime.

The 90’s built me the foundation for who I am today…
Real. Authentic. Confident. Strong.

You don’t have to have life all figured out.
It changes, and so do you.
And that’s exactly what makes it a beautiful life.
