People keep asking me, “Evan, when did you start running? When did you stop doing drugs?”

I didn’t. I do both!

I’m still me. I just decided one day I wanted to see what the fuck I was actually capable of.

Then people ask how I stay motivated enough to keep doing this shit.

The truth is, I fucking don’t.

Some days I’m ready to go. Other days I don’t want to do a fucking thing. What I figured out is that motivation doesn’t really matter if you make quitting harder than continuing.

So I run my fucking mouth.

I tell everybody what I’m going to do. I make it public. I make it real. Because once enough people hear me say it, my stubborn ass would rather suffer through it than explain why I fucking quit.

I said I was going to run six 5Ks in six hours. 30K total.

So I did.

Not because I’m some incredible athlete.
Not because I’m disciplined every second of every day.
Not because it was fucking easy.

I wanted to see if I could do it, and apparently sometimes that’s enough. Pick something that sounds a little fucking crazy and commit to it.

Be a man. Keep your word.

If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do, go fucking do it. And when your brain starts giving you 100 reasons to quit, tell it to shut the fuck up and keep moving.

Chase your fucking dreams. I did my first 5k on August 8th. If I can do it, you sure as fuck can too.
