Hi everyone! I’m Haven, and I’m so excited to be joining the @mosaic_intl team as the new Social Media Coordinator!

I’m currently studying Media Communication with a minor in Multimedia Journalism at Point Loma Nazarene University, and I have a huge passion for storytelling and using creativity to share what God is doing in the world. I’ve always loved capturing moments, creating content, and finding ways to connect people through stories, so I’m really excited to use those passions to highlight the incredible work Mosaic is doing through communities around the world.

One of my favorite parts about missions is seeing the impact in children’s lives, while also witnessing how entire communities are strengthened and transformed. I love being part of sharing stories where people are encouraged, shown God’s love, and given opportunities to grow and thrive.

A few fun things about me: I love being at the beach, line dancing, exploring new places, and spending time with the people I love! I’m so grateful to be a part of Mosaic and can’t wait to see where God takes this journey! by @haven.shermann

🌟GLOW NIGHT🌟

Last night we spent a few minutes talking about solar lights: How they soak up light from the sun and then shine when the world gets dark. Then we talked about how Jesus does the same thing in our lives. We receive His love, His hope, and His light… and then we share it with others.

After that, we handed the kids a small card and asked them to write a note to a child or family who might receive one of these solar lights in another country through @mosaic_intl

They only had about five minutes but what happened next was incredible!

Messages about God’s love. Drawings of crosses and hearts. Encouragement for hard days. Reminders that no one is alone.

These kids may never travel to Tanzania or the Philippines. They may never meet the person who receives their card. But they are already learning what it means to be missionaries!

Not because they crossed an ocean but because they cared about someone they’ve never met.

Never underestimate what God can do through a child who knows they are loved by Jesus and wants to share that love with others.

The future is bright. ❤️🌍☀️

Highlights⬇️

There’s many highlights of the trip that I won’t ever forget including sleeping in the rain, red 8’s, flying off of tubes, stealing monsters and mattresses, kissing frogs, wrestling for spoons, potential brain eating amoeba inside of ears & eyes (a sense for a sense), what are the chances, taking care of Coconut the cat, controversial wins in football, egyptian rat slap, and so much more.

Along with these fun memories, the Lord worked in many ways in many lives including mine. I’m so thankful for all the things I’ve learned from the amazing people I met in Trinidad and from the people who came along side me on this trip.

The Lord taught me to be patient by living on “Caribbean time”, which means to enjoy time with friends and not live life rushing all the time. The Lord also taught me that intentional conversations with prayer in communities is extremely important and can build Christ-centered friendships with others.

Thank you to those who donated to this incredible trip where I’ve learned so much and got to serve alongside great people to help out the Caribbean Nazarene College.
