The way we care for women has always been closely connected to the way we care for one another. Sharing this work as a team allows our midwives to be fully present when they’re here—and to have meaningful time for their own lives and families when they’re not.

Adding another midwife to our team is an investment in that kind of care. 🌻

And because of that, we’re thoughtful about who we invite into this work. We’re looking for a Certified Nurse-Midwife who shares the heart behind how we practice—someone who values relationship, trusts physiologic birth, exercises sound judgment, and believes every woman has immeasurable worth and deserves to be cared for with excellence.

If you’re a CNM who has been longing to practice this way, we’d love to hear from you.

My baby is 6️⃣ today and I’m sitting in the duality of joy and grief that is motherhood. What a gift it is to watch him grow AND how sad it is to watch those sweet chubby cheeks melt away.

Lochlan’s entire journey from conception to birth can only be described as magical; something we sorely needed during a worldwide pandemic. He kept me grounded and deeply connected to my intuition at a time when everything was turned upside down.

I had every intention of birthing him at the hospital because I had convinced myself that I wouldn’t ever have the home birth I desired. Luckily our midwife @ldrees of @havenbirth had far more faith than I, and this little love was born in our bathtub 🥰

Loch has no fear and doesn’t know a stranger. He loves all animals and is especially fond of earthworms and frogs 😆 Playing in the mud (and getting as dirty as possible) brings him immense joy.

He is exactly what our family needed.

💓Had the best time last night with all these amazing women in the Nashville Mom/Baby Community, celebrating the opening of @havenbirth ‘s new GORGEOUS space in Franklin!💓

@ldrees , the owner and founder has poured her heart in this space, her clients, and her ministry/mission of serving and helping new families! She’s an angel on Earth! So proud of you, sweet friend!

Also loved running into @vicki_lynne_woods with @nashvilledoulaservices , another amazing resource in Nashville for all things birth and postpartum doula related services!

The doors are open, the ribbon is ready, and it’s time to celebrate Haven’s new home! 🏡 🎉

Join us for our Grand Opening on Saturday, August 15th. We’ll kick things off with a ribbon cutting at 9 AM, and you can stop by anytime until 1 PM with your whole family.

We’ll have coffee, drinks, and treats, Ladybird Tacos available for purchase, activities for the kids, a professional family portrait station by @jacquelinedavisonphotography , and giveaways from some of our favorite local businesses—including Herban Market, Play All Day Nashville, Forevermore Coffee, Flower Kitchen, Format Fitness, Doge Cleaning Company, Little Nesting Company, The Sweat Shack, and more.

We’ll also have a special project for all of our Haven babies to help create something new for our office. We hope you’ll bring them by to be part of it!
