Building Cleaner Fragrance. Episode 2: “Rewrite”

It was never just “business as usual” for us. It was always rooted in more.

Before we knew what the product was, we knew what impact we wanted to have. A business where profits wouldn’t just enrich a few, but where the value created could enrich society.

The heart behind @havynco is to be a self-sustaining business in order to create jobs, training, and mentorship in a trauma-informed context that gives a second chance to those who need it - in our case, survivors of trafficking, exploitation, and abuse.

So far, we’ve been able to employ four survivors. We’re hopeful that we can support many more.

“Clean” shouldn’t require you to become a chemist.

When we created Havyn, we didn’t want to make up our own definition of what “clean” should be. We looked to established standards and regulations, including those in the EU, and built from there.

That means fragrances made without the 82 EU fragrance allergens, higher ingredient standards, and final formulas clinically tested on sensitive skin.

We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between products made with higher standards and products that feel beautiful and bring a little joy to your everyday.

Standards you don’t just have to take our word for.

@adley couldn’t have said it better. We started Havyn as a business, but it has clearly weaved into the family story.

The kids are growing up watching their parents take risks, build something they believe in, get things wrong, keep going and celebrate the little wins along the way.

There are definitely easier ways to do life. But getting to experience this together is something we’ll never take for granted. by @havynco
