I woke up a day after I attended the IThrive Conference and all I could ask myself was 'why are you so afraid to shine?'. I have journals full of big dreams, things that are more than my age, status and even present qualifications and what I dreaded the most was comparing where I was to where I was going.

Hmmmmmm

That morning, I made a choice to do it anyways, I decided to take a giant step towards delivering value, I chose to be visible and to start from where I stood and so far, asides the days of missing my shell, it's been an amazing ride 😃

CAN I REALLY TRUST THE GOD OF THE PROCESS❔

The most common sign of a stretching season for a visionary is that questions become louder than convictions. There's pressure within and at this point two simple things can happen, you either stop or you continue regardless.

Everybody talks about the start of a new thing and about the expected results but very few consider what happens in between both.

Today is not for another write up to teach you about process but a reminder that though now the storms are raging, hold God by his word and trust that there's beauty at the other side of the process and preparation, it's not a good time to give up on the vision, infact, there's never a good time to.

In a time where the complains of stress and stretching is becoming louder than the wisdom and stability those seasons bring, choose to keep your heart in the race. The race may be slow but it is sure, IF you continue.

This week, there's new beauty over you and all that is yours.

Let's talk about the Idol Within 💡

As people, we are quick to identify things we like or may not like when it's present in the life of others, that is, it is easier to notice traits in people that you think can never be yours or admire values you wish you had in others, so a proud person easily recognises when another person speaks with pride and a lazy person can analyze the effects of laziness without ever applying it to themselves.

The Idol within is difficult to recognize because it's covered, covered by our mind's painting of unhealthy love for ourselves, a lack of honour for God and the inability to see wrong in ourselves whereas once this cover is removed, we see that we are not who we really thought we were.

Self doesn't just become a god that drives our intentions, actions and decisions, it also becomes a limitation to our growth and progress in the journey of becoming because it tells you, this is the best you can be, other things will align to meet you here 🧐

Your next question will now be, how do I recognise that what I'm in pursuit of is a carved out of selfish desire rather than service?

- How do I become selfless in pursuit of my vision?

- How can I have a mind that builds instead of pulling things down?

- How can I be me?

What you set your mind upon this week is just as important as the decision itself. So far, we've seen the weight of the somewhat easy choice to move with the tides, bow to self and go wherever life takes you, it's costly and a lifetime is too small to pay for such an error and this is why my counsel this week is simple:

Choose what you want to see or should I rather say, choose who you want to see because who you see determines your response to life.

We continue the journey on the mind this week but till then, believe what you confess and confess only the things you believe.

How we see life shapes the kind of experiences we have 🤏👓

Think of it this way, when you are told to think outside the box, it's not just about thinking deeper, it's about not depending so much on the familiar or the convenient and reaching out for more.

The typical woman may wonder how her mind influences her quality of life and if I were to give a one sentence response, I'd say, "you can't build in life what you haven't built in your mind", this is to say your mind is a determining factor on the kind of woman you'll eventually become...

So, as you continue on the path of becoming I'll say:

💡 Invest in renewing your mind.
💡Keep faith on your tongue as much as it's in your heart.
💡Cherish the company God has planted you in.
💡 Honour the woman you are, in pursuit of the woman you want to become.

💡Drop the thought that you're disadvantaged.
💡 Leverage on the power of right leadership.
💡 Chisel out old habits that don't fit into your bigger picture.
💡 Grow!

A growing woman is full of possibilities!

Stepping out this morning, I had this thought on leadership that still lingers in my heart and this is what I wonder...

I wonder if people truly understand the kind of influence and weight leadership carries, that it is not a flex to say you're the boss when there's nothing flowing out of you into those that you head. Leadership is not just headship, it is giving and I want you to think about that in every manner possible, giving time, resources, attention, care, sharing in their pain and many times putting your team first.

You're not a leader until you can replicate what is true in the lives of your followers while placing value on the uniqueness of each one.

Leadership is work!

I take it personal when I see people that don't understand this and think that leadership is to have others serve you, in leadership though you're the head and ahead but people submit and transform not because they like how you spin on your special office chair but rather they change by watching you serve despite the height of your seat 📌
