Just completed a sympathetic restoration of a large, very decorative early 20th century model of a two masted schooner in time to bring it to my stand @cooperantiquesfairs Cheshire Decorative Fair, weekend of 16 - 20 October, at Chester Racecourse.

For sale I have an early Robert “Mouseman” Thompson breadboard from the days before bagged and sliced Mother’s Pride convenience food became the norm.
It bears the scars of a daily battle with the farmer’s wife use over several decades, cuts, marks, nibbles and discoloured patina.
At some stage in its history the underside was cleaned back to show the sought after medullary rays that are found in the best pieces of oak. I put on some small cork pads to protect my furniture while on display, and these are easy to remove (they peel off) should you prefer.
Please look carefully at all the photos for condition.
This is a “marmite” Mouseman piece, you either love these heavily used as intended boards, or not!
Please view all the photos carefully as they are part of this item’s listing description and ask any questions BEFORE buying.
The item will be well wrapped and boxed for Royal Mail tracked shipping.

Price: £285 (includes free UK shipping by Royal Mail tracked service) taken in City of Bradford by @hawksworthcollection

If you’re searching for truly individual pieces to gift for this festive season, make sure to visit The Art of Giving exhibition at Clitheroe’s Platform Gallery. It’s open throughout October to early January, and features the work of some of the most talented crafters in the north of England.
