My Alexia,
I have no idea how I could possibly sum up how much you mean to me in this letter. You were the most genuine and joyful person I have ever met which makes it so much harder that you are gone. My heart hurts that life keeps moving without you but i know that it only hurts this much because of the love I have for you. I will never understand why you had to leave us so soon but I am forever grateful for the time we had together, no matter how short. I wish that I could’ve had one more moment with you to let you know one last time how loved you were, I hope that you knew.

I can’t even remember the first time we met because it was such an easy and immediate friendship. I don’t know what I will do now every time I go to send you a TikTok that only you would understand or go to call you because I know you would be on my side no matter what.

I will forever miss quince practices where you made me stay later just to make sure I got my arms straight. I know I will never meet another person like you, someone so effortlessly light and funny and the most perfect friend. Nothing could have prepared me for the loss i would feel without you here, but I am so proud of you for fighting as long as you could. You never let us know how bad it was, you were so selfless even in your suffering. I am thankful that your pain has ended, even if it has begun so many of ours.

There are so many things I want to say to you, things that I will never be able to tell you now, but I believe that you know. Thank you for being the most genuine friend you could’ve been. I will wish everyday for just one more simple second with you, just to see you happy and alive and cracking a joke at all the wrong times. I will miss you for the rest of my life, but I am so thankful to have known you for all the best parts of it.
