Before all I just want to acknowledge that every small bit of success that i’ve received in this sport the past 6 years is all the fruit of one man, Jesus Christ. Wrestling has always been one of the biggest struggles in my life since I started it but at the same time it’s what’s held me down, forced me to mature, kept me humble, formed my confidence, showed me multiple life lessons, created priceless relationships, and brought me closer to God. Without this sport who knows what type of hole I’d have put myself in by now. Countless hours at Westfield trying to figure it out for the first time, beyond countless hours at Storm Wrestling Center getting my ass kicked constantly and getting right back up just for it to happen all over again, and coming to Veterans to learn how to be a leader, all these things are major contributors to who I am today. Wrestling has always been my anchor whenever things were rock bottom and for it to be leaving me now will certainly be an adjustment.

I’d like to thank God before all, aswell as my coaches: coach nic mcgehee, coach mike thompson, coach carr, coach bryce carr, coach martin, coach mcsweeney, coach kori, coach chavous, and coach bubby mitchell all for playing key roles in my development as a wrestler and a person.

I’d also like to thank my parent aswell as all of the people who i’ve met through it all and would consider my friends. Having constant confidence from others means more to me than I can express.

I refer to James 1:2-3 , my favorite verse, “Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds” When i say that wherever life takes me next, I will strive to be the best person and man of God I can be.
