This is my latest commercial piece I produced for Honest Abe Roofing! Super happy with how this one turned out!

This project specifically came in as a last minute creative brief and had some pretty serious time restrictions I had to meet to create it. Ultimately it turned out to be my favorite spot I have ever made

It’s funny how that works! Restraints when it comes to creative projects sometimes yield the best results and ultimately force you to be more creative than you typically are.

This video was specifically created for an intro to a weekly sales training for Honest Abe’s Roofing Advisors! Took a Tyler Perry approach with Grant playing all characters.🤣

Super happy with how this spec project turned out!

First project shot on the Blackmagic Pyxis 6k. The raw workflow with Blackmagic Raw is insane. Can’t believe the flexibility you get in post with this camera. Also, the colors this sensor renders are SO GOOD.🔥 by @haydencorenflos

I truly don't think there is a medium better than video to tell stories in a clear and compelling way. I really think this is why I have fallen in love with video production. There is not another style of art that you can capture moments & emotions more authentically. The ability to tell stories through video is so powerful.

I know my friends who follow me on here who are in video production as well can attest to this. I dont know what it is about video....but I just cant seem to get enough. Even though I do this full time as my 8-5 through the week, I still cant seem to put my camera down, even on vacation.
-
I am so incredibly grateful for this journey of progressing in this Art, and grateful to God that he has given me the passion for something like this that I can use for the cause of building his kingdom.

A few moments from today.

Recently I’ve decided to really start pushing my color grades further than what I am comfortable with, in terms of contrast and saturation. I realized that’s exactly what I needed to do to push my colorgrading to the next level. I always wondered what I was doing wrong with my color grades that made them look different than other “commercial/movie” color grades. I realized I was just scared to make a definitive artistic choice to sacrifice the highlights or the shadows. I was always trying to save both the highlights and shadows, rather than choosing an artistic direction for the feeling I want to evoke in the video itself. It’s really been a fun process pushing it and seeing what’s possible.
