Great people, big conversations and exciting things happening across Wales’ creative scene. Thanks to everyone who came along. Look out for more events like this coming soon! 👀 by @haydnwakeling
Our second event at Black Swan and it was a blast! 🙏 Thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate the launch of @blackswanverticals; watch our trailer, meet our team and learn more about our plans for bringing this format to Wales - lit by the fire of producing our first micro drama, our murder mystery, Murder at Macintosh Manor. Extremely grateful to all speakers / hosts. Thanks to @walesinteractive for their panel and Keri, Gerwyn, @darceymarieharcombe and @emma_stacey_ for the Wales filmmaking panel. This is only the start. The start of events, micro drama's, and everything else we have planned at Black Swan in Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Thank you to @sweenymark and @wearemasanas for supporting the event also! by @haydnwakeling
And just like that, apparently 5 years went by! 🤯 We're going to take a moment to reflect on our journey thus far and some key highlights, as we enter into our next chapter of business. It's been an emotional ride, but if there's one thing we know for sure... this is only the beginning. 1 - Our short psychological horror film, Control Room, wins Best Welsh Film at FOCUS Wales (BAFTA qualifying) with its first film festival entry. The film also won at Wales International Film Festival, Film Fest International and others. 2 - 5 years of working with excellent Welsh SME's such as de Novo Solutions, Credas, Watkins and Gunn Solicitors, Robertsons Solicitors, Sinclairslaw, MASANAS, V12 Retail Finance, Captains Clubhouse, Venture Comet LTD, etc for brand videos. 3 - Winning at the UK StartUp Awards in Media and Entertainment for Wales and celebrating at Ideas Fest. 🏆 4 - Kicking off our own video podcast, Black Swan Podcast, and having countless awesome guests on, ranging from the creative sector to entrepreneurs to brand experts. 5 - Mark Sweeny joins Black Swan as Non-Executive Director, helping us transition into our new era with a bigger vision and making our creative ambitions a reality. This was a real statement for us and we're so excited about the future of this partnership. 6 - We moved into our new home at Great Point Studios, not only showing our intention with making Black Swan as much of a scripted company as it has been a corporate video one, but to further enhance our efforts within the Welsh film/tv eco-system. 7 - Winning the first-ever Creative Impact Award at Wales Business Awards showcasing our creative entrepreneurship. 8 - Well, the biggest one of them all, we suppose! Producing Wales first-ever vertical micro drama, with the backing of MASANAS. A unique, premium murder mystery that will be entering into the international market soon. The most amazing team of *relatively young* creatives on a mission to bring this work to Wales and make a statement in the market. For those who have seen it thus far... We think they can agree we've made our point! Here's to the next 5 years. 🙌 by @haydnwakeling
