Your perfect fall itinerary in Portland, OR. 🍂➡️ 🍳🥓🥪 If you’ve been here a while, you know how much I love @westportland. ➡️ 🥖 Some of our brunch favorites include their Vegan Hash, Proper Breakfast, Buttermilk Pancakes, and their West Wich. ➡️ ☕️ Up in the hills of Goose Hollow, is one of my favorite small coffee shops, @cottacart. ➡️ ☕️ If it’s a clear and crisp fall day, their outside seating is covered with fall leaves on the ground and truly feels like a fall wonderland. ➡️ 🤍 If you’re looking to explore in the city, even if you have gone here before, the @portlandjapanesegarden is even more iconic in the fall. ➡️ 🍂 The trees look like something out of a watercolor painting and the views of the city are breathtaking. ➡️ 🍱 For lunch, I recommend checking out @soenportland. This mini Japanese bites cafe is located in @couriercoffeeroasters. ➡️ 🍙 Some of my favorites include their onigiri, dango, and their seasonal norimaki. ➡️ 🏺 Next door, @shopstoriedobjects is a great spot to pop into to see a gorgeously curated art gallery and shop. ➡️ 🌮 I’m mixing both Dinner and Dessert into one with @mestizo.pdx. ➡️ 🍮 Some of my favorites include their Empanadas, Cocontu Ceviche, Mestizo Rice Bowl, and their Leche Flan. #fallvibes #portlandor #fallinpdx #pdx #pdxtravel by @hayestep
A few photos from the @glimpsematchapopup at @maps.goodspace 🍵 Glimpse is a matcha pop-up bar founded by Korean & Burmese couple @justchone and @glimpseofchae, serving specialty matcha drinks inspired by their roots and cultures. Believe me when I say these two are creating something truly special. 🤍 While shooting this pop-up, I lost count of how many people asked if Glimpse had a permanent location. For now, they’re strictly a pop-up, but I have a feeling that dream of having a space of their own isn’t too far away. Until then, show them some love and support them whenever you can. Maybe one day we’ll all be sipping Glimpse matcha in their very own spot. 🍵🙂‍↕️ #glimpsematcha #pdx #portlandpopup #pdxmatcha #matchacart by @hayestep
My favorite bite in Portland this week 🍰 ➡️ 🍵🍰☕️ This local cafe is known for their Korean inspired drinks, cakes, and small gift shop. ➡️ 🎂 We always seem to find something new here. A few of my favorites over the years are the cheesecake, banana matcha, and any of their tiramisu flavors. ➡️ ☕️ We chose an Iced Americano, Hojicha Latte, and Black Sesame Tiramisu. Everything was full of flavor and this is in the high rankings for one of my favorite Hojicha lattes in PDX. ➡️ 🤍 This place is very special to me. Phil and I have had many dates here, and it was one of my very first PDX recommendations when I started seriously posting on IG back in 2022. It makes me feel so grateful that one of my favorites is still here. ➡️ ⭐️ 10/10 | Here’s to many more years of visiting my favorites across the city. 📍 @cafe_sorosoro | 2250 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97214 #portlandcafe #portlandfoodie #pdxeats #pdxdessers #portlandoregon by @hayestep
Building a Brand — Episode 2: Small Beginnings and Product Development 🫧🤍 I hope to share more in this journey later this year when we get closer to our 2027 launch, but for now, enjoy our humble beginnings! 🤍 #buildingabrand #smallbuisness #beautybusiness #portlandsmallbusiness #pdx by @hayestep
Small Businesses I’ve visited recently. ➡️ 📍 @barcarlopdx | A Mexican & American Brunch Spot. ➡️ 🌮 We ordered the Carnitas Omelette and Fajitas Plate w/potatoes instead of rice. The potatoes are a highlight here and the meat has so much flavor. We’ve been here twice now and the omelette has me wanting to come back for more. ➡️ 📍 @littlehouseperfumerie | The cutest little (but expanding) perfume shop on Williams. Owned by the amazing @boroughhome 🫧 ➡️ 📍 @vintishinteriors | Spent some time at this pop-up a few weeks ago. We obviously had to stop by our friends @glimpsematchapopup, but I also found this cute cat magnet from @arielle.arts that looks exactly like our cat, Clove. ➡️ 📍 @sondermatchapdx @buttercoopbakery | I’ve been meaning to visit my friend @thematchagorl and I knew I had to stop by during her time @buttercoopbakery. ➡️ 🍵 The sweet corn matcha has great flavor and felt sweet yet a hint of savory added to the mix. 🌽➡️ 🩷 Honorable Mentions: @secret.umma.pdx @sandysmyanmarcuisine @shortforisland by @hayestep
🫧 Welcome to episode 1 of building a beauty brand — Formulating our first product. Now, why a lip balm? For years I’ve personally struggled with dry lips, flaking, and irritation due to seasonal eczema. Everytime I find a good throw in your purse lip balm, there’s high fragrances or essential oils that cause weird tastes and sometimes irritation. I want to start small while I learn more about beneficial ingredients and develop a product that helps myself and others out there find a product that will actually help them in the long run. This product is filled with botanical oils and light actives such as rosehip oil and vitamin e. Some of my favorite stand out ingredients include meadowfoam seed oil, apricot kernel oil, and squalene. I look forward to sharing more in the future, I have so much planned. For now, you can find more updates by following @purin.skin 🤍🫧 #buildingabrand #skincare #newbeautybrand #skincarebrand #portlandsmallbusiness by @hayestep

🌻 An Ikebana workshop in Portland Oregon from @tane_flower. 💭 My friend and I had a great (and very relaxing time) at this workshop and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about Ikebana. *rsvp only, make sure you check their upcoming class schedules and follow @tane_flower for latest class updates. #portlandflorist #portlandworkshop #ikebana #taneflower #portlandoregon by @hayestep

🥐🍲🍔🍵 Small businesses I visited in PDX this week. ➡️ 📍 @ponto.pdx | My favorite spot for a quick little treat. Treated myself to a chocolate salt bread + a yuzu hibiscus sparkling. It was the perfect way to top off a day of errands and get refreshed in the process. ➡️ Seasonal Salt Bread + Drinks | Check their menu on their IG page for current offerings! ➡️ 📍@cozycongeepdx | I popped into my favorite comforting restaurant to visit the wonderful @jihaekwon_ 🤍 She treated me to this bowl of congee 🥺. ➡️ I typically get the pork jok congee, but today I was feeling something a little different. I went for the Chinese pork threads with a doughnut. Jihae added an egg for a little extra protein. The guava nectar was extra hydrating and sweet. ➡️ 📍 @eatfaceplant | Co-owned by one of my favorite cookbook authors, @mollybaz, this little fast food restaurant serves up all vegan offerings. 🍔 I went for the nuggets, the fancy, and a strawberry shake. As someone who has a sensitivity to dairy and beef, I can’t say anything more but how amazing it was to eat something and not have it destroy my day later. ➡️ 📍 @glimpsematchapopup | My new friends, Chone + Jiho, created this coffee cart pop-up not long ago, but their passion is so easy to see. I’m stoked to see their cart now operating and can’t wait to see where they go in the near future. ➡️ 🍵 I had their Banana Milk Matcha with oat milk. Their dairy free cream top is out of this world and I’m so glad it’s standard as that’s so hard to find in this city. They pop-up and different places so be sure to follow them on IG to see where they go next! by @hayestep
