I did it 🤩

I WON twice at the Newham Business Awards organised by @newhamchamber on the 13th October:

🏆Young Entrepreneur of the year awards
🏆Business of the year awards

Did I cry when my name got announced TWICE yes absolutely😅.

Did I prepare a speech, nope not at all simply because I didn’t think I was going to win let alone win two prestigious awards.

Leaving my 9-5 at the beginning of the year was the most scariest thing I have ever done as I am not one to take massive risks. However, I know I have a purpose to pursue, I know my WHY and my faith in God is stronger than fears and doubts!

I am so proud to be the owner of Hay Events and so to be recognised and acknowledged through the two prestigious awards I achieved for the work that I am doing to support amazing entrepreneurs and small business owners to plan impactful events to help with the growth of their business means everything to me.

Being an entrepreneur is such an emotional rollercoaster of a journey and yes I hold my hands up and say there are days I want to give up and go back to a 9-5 🤧…

But my faith in God and my WHY continues to keep me going.

I am an entrepreneur on a mission and I refuse to allow fear, doubts, anxiety, and negative thoughts to get the better of me.

I AM CAPABLE ❤️🏆🤩

On 25th–26th September, the Hay Events team returned to De Vere Beaumont Estate, Windsor, to support the delivery of @globalcounselforum (GCF) 2026! 🙌🏾

Confessions of an Event Planner… the things nobody tells you. 🎬👀

A 12–14 hour day? Completely normal. 😂

20,000+ steps before you’ve even realised your feet hurt.

Breakfast? Maybe.

Lunch? Usually eaten standing up… if we remember. 👀

Sitting down? What’s that?

You’ll say “I need to go to the toilet” about 1,000 times… and somehow only remember when you REALLY need to go. 😂

Your phone battery will somehow be on 10% by midday.

The walkie-talkie becomes part of your outfit.

You’ll know the running order better than you know your own plans for the weekend.

And while everyone else is celebrating the event finishing…

We’re thinking about breakdown, supplier collections and whether everything actually left the venue. 😂

Then comes the moment when the room is empty, your feet are DONE and you realise…

We get to do this for a living. ❤️

Long days? Yes.

Organised chaos? Absolutely.

Would we change it? Not a chance.
