Two voices in my head. Ego versus Mind. When is my ego manipulating me, when can I resist it and use my mind? Constant struggle for the right decision-making.

I must not confuse ego with motivation or self-confidence. It is not my ego that pushes me. These two things are hard-earned and ingrained in my personality. My ego is foundationless.

It overestimates me. Thinks I am smarter and better, that I am already a pro. If I get fooled by it, things get dangerous.

Be it in private or professional life, we are in a constant learning process. There is always something to learn: we learn when we win, we learn when we lose. And through the newly gained knowledge we become even better, live even happier and have a more fulfilled life.

To prevent our ego from manipulating us, we have to get to know ourselves better. Go deeper into ourselves. Talk to ourselves. Be honest to ourselves. Find out who we really are.

What are our real values? What is really important to us? Where do we really want to go? What is the vision of our life?

Only if we are maximally honest with ourselves, only if we are 100% aware of our values and principles, only if we are willing to constantly learn and develop, only if we go through life with maximum humility, can we manage to switch off the voice of our ego.

Because our ego is our enemy. We are our own enemy!

We must avoid our ego, now, today, tomorrow, in the future, always!

My dear grandpa,

now it's been exactly one week since you passed away and there are still so many things I want to tell you. I feel the need to tell the world what a great person you were: A fighter, a lion who never gave up, a person who gave everything for the family, a friend who was always there for his friends, a great husband, an honorable father to his children, and the best grandfather a grandchild could ask for.

You showed me that love is the best answer to everything, that family is the greatest gift in life, and I swear I will carry these values with me.

Grandpa, I'm sorry I couldn't bring you home this time. I did the best I could. But I know that you are still with me. Just as I felt your last breath, I feel your energy by my side now. We are inseparable. Now you are watching over me!

I promise you that I will watch over Grandma, probably not as well as you, but I will do my best.
They say the dead live until they are forgotten. Believe me, you won't be.

I love and miss you ♥️

PS: Yes grandpa, I have already eaten today.

There is a big misconception that if we get our feelings out of the way, we could lead a happier and more productive life. But that’s wrong!

It is important to recognize that we are driven by our emotions. They are the pilot of our actions. Our rational thinking brain is just the copilot and it is always in some crazy negotiations with our emotional thinking brain when it comes to taking decisions.

At times, we are so controlled by our emotions that we take decisions knowing from the very beginning that they are not good for us. To avoid this, we must always be faithful to our values and principles and make our decisions according to them. This way we can improve the interaction between our rational and emotional brain.

Only then are we able to make a decision despite strong emotional ties that will keep our conscience calm in the long run. Only then will no mountain be too high and no path too difficult.
