The people that made the place💛I’ve officially said goodbye to the city that has slowly became home. I spent my last night in Jax at Thursday night service (very fitting🥹🥹), and I was overwhelmed with gratitude for all God has done in my life here. The Lord provided for me in abundance in Jacksonville. A home church, community, FCA, getting to live in Jax beach, loving roommates, a collegiate soccer career, and friends that I know will be in my life forever. Most importantly, this is the place where the Lord grew my faith and brought me closer to Him, and for that alone Jacksonville will always be special. My first year in Jax I was counting down the days until break, and now it’s a place I leave with sorrow but also great joy. The Lord was beyond faithful in Jacksonville, and I know He will be again. FL TO VA!!! 👩🏼‍🎓👩🏼‍🎓My time at JU has been extremely special and Jacksonville has become a place that feels like home. Even though this chapter is now closed, I’m beyond excited to step into what the Lord has for me next! I will be moving to Lynchburg, Virginia where I will be an area representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes along with coaching at Liberty University. I had a friend ask me about a year ago what my biggest dreams are. I was surprised when I couldn’t come up with an answer. I’ve done a lot of dreaming with the Lord ever since. Even though I’m not sure I have an answer fully to that question yet, I’m a few steps closer. I dream of college teams knowing the fullness of Jesus, changing the way they play. I dream of changing the narrative of collegiate athletics. I dream of healthy, Godly, loving youth teams where kids fall in the love with the game and Jesus. But most importantly I dream of sports looking different, more than just something we do, but something to bring God glory.Coming to this decision seemed impossible, because I didn’t know what the next step was towards all these dreams. But God showed me all He needed was my yes. The more I opened my hands, the more I got to see His hand. He slowly revealed Himself and made a way only how He could. In His kindness, He has given me the opportunity to serve college athletes through two of my biggest loves, FCA and coaching. Over and over again He leaves me in awe of how He writes stories. I’ve seen His faithfulness, sovereignty, and goodness every step of the way. I feel so confident that this is where the Lord has me next and I can’t wait to see all that He does through my time in Lynchburg!!!“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
