festival of quilts!! 🇬🇧❤️ first of all, what a treat to come to a quilt show and be able to just wander and shop and admire the art and not be trapped in a booth. 10/10 highly recommend
second, what a treat to see so many lovely people!! even thousands of miles from home, i could walk down the aisle and see familiar faces. some “usual suspect” friends, some long-missed friends, some i never get to chat with when we typically cross paths at work events, and many finally meeting face to face after years of online friendships. the quilts are gorgeous but i come to these shows for the people and there was a remarkably good batch here in birmingham this week.
i did not take as many photos as i should have but love love love to the pals i got to see and hug and laugh with this week

pr 22!!!!!! what a treat to be a part of this production. we have such a great team that comes together to set up this work room (highlight for me to take my teammates to xi’an famous foods and preach the gospel of hot oil seared hand ripped noodles) and start so strong.
this season with TWENTY TWOOOOO designers, megann, jaime, and i had a couple crazy days training all these folks on our machines. chaos, but so fun to meet all these folks before the real madness starts on set.
supporting this show is a never ending mix of rolling with the punches and pinch-me-moments. i love seeing the absolute state of that work room when i walk in each day and walking away with it spotless and perfectly reset. i haven’t even had a chance to watch the premiere yet but i know this season is a special one. more on that later 😘
never ending gratitude to @berninaroadie and @ckburcham for championing us having opportunities to be so involved in these kinds of projects. @megsfreese @tworightfeetlane are the best baton-pass partners (especially with those “get ready for a wild one” kind of calls on a saturday). and of course @nickverreos @bdavidpaul @shutthefrankup and dillon (where ever he is in the internet) for being the best production/support/guardian angel team by @hayleygrzych

i got tons of messages about this bag after sharing about it in my stories this weekend so she deserves a spot on the grid ✨
i gifted my mom one of these kits from @babylonleather for christmas and she surprised me by returning the favor! i’ve been in a little bit of a creative slump and when this landed at my door friday i was immediately ready to dive in and found this project so addicting once i started. i’ve never hand sewn leather like this before and found it really satisfying to put together.
one thing i find funny is that the product listing for my Kelly-dupe (DOOOOOP) says it is a “moderate” project, estimating “4-5 hours” to assemble. lmao this shit took me somewhere around 20 hours to complete.
anywhoodles i loved this project, i am so stoked about how clean the finish is, it’s a gorgeous bag, i’m already thinking about what other styles i’d like to make, etc etc 10/10 project by @hayleygrzych

✨2025✨
since i never post to the grid anymore here’s a collection of random moments from the year. traveled a bunch (normal but this year some for-fun trips!), saw many friends, saw my family not once but twice (!!), worked on more than one bucket list project, put more focus into unplugging, spent time in the garden, hit my reading goal (i’m giving that one to myself because i have 100 pages left on my current read and i’m COUNTING IT), knit some stuff, sewed a little, worked on the house. i’m not giving myself any new big resolutions for the new year, just leaning harder into the routines and things that served me well this year. hold on to what’s feels stable and grounding. keep on keeping together. by @hayleygrzych

bucket list alert: i got to work on project runway 💃✨🪡
what a literal dream come true to get to come in and support this show for season 21. i watched PR when i was a youth, fueling my love to sew, bug-eyed watching the designers shopping in manhattan and making these incredible pieces. now, as an adult, getting to walk on that set did in fact make me cry.
i will maybe post more BTS photos as the season progresses (no spoilers!!!!) but i am just thrilled to finally be able to gush about this opportunity. always grateful for @berninaroadie advocating for these kinds of fun projects that make our jobs so special. @megsfreese for navigating the chaos and giggling with me the whole way through. @noeyorkcity for being the best producer, always having our back, and finding a kindred spirit in this bizarre world. and last but certainly not least @nickverreos and @bdavidpaul for being absolute angels. what an overwhelming set to walk into and these two are so thoughtful, helpful, and quickly felt like old friends.
ok now i need to actually go watch these first two episodes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by @hayleygrzych

i have been posting lots in stories but here’s one for the grid ✨
i am so happy to have been home so much this spring, to be able to get my hands in the dirt and plant pretty things and see them come to life. we’ve found a new hobby to hyperfixate on!!!!!!
here is some color and shots of what’s happening so far this spring and also just me goofin ha ha 🙂
i love to share and see what other people are growing and also this is partially for me to just document the progression over the coming months and years 😌

🚨this is an end of year recap post 🚨
reflecting on 2024 and thinking about how to summarize it is…exhausting. which is apropos!
of course it would be impossible to talk about this year without talking about the B 990. what a massive effort, with years of work leading up to it. i am so proud. it also took so much out of me. which is part of why i am online so much less and you’re getting all the photos and insight now ✨

✅in for 2025✅: staying home, being outside, logging off, going to the doctor, home improvement projects, intuitive eating, patience, prioritizing life in the work/life balance
🚫out for 2025🚫: being busy, being tethered to your phone, airplanes, rushing and cutting corners, prioritizing work

my goal for next year is just to take better care of myself. caring for my brain and body (yay for therapy and managing dysautonomia and an autoimmune disorder), being more present for my friends and family, and recovering from burnout. i will probably not post here any more frequently next year because i don’t like it so that’s that okay goodbye!!!! by @hayleygrzych

hi anouk! ✨🇳🇱🐰
obviously i have spent a lot of time sewing on my B 990 lately but i still love my handwork projects. the creatures from the world of @coolcrafting’s luna lapin are such a perfect break from sitting at a sewing machine.
some of my coworker friends have been much more prolific in creating luna’s and nearly all of her friends (i only have two now!) but it is so funny how obsessed a handful of us have become with these adorable felt creatures.
next, i need to cut out a proper luna before i hit the road again next week! by @hayleygrzych

hello!!!!!!! my team and i are hitting the road this summer to show you all the ✨MAGIC✨ of the BERNINA 990!!!!!!!
i’m going to a bunch of different places over the next month or so and i am a clown and wanted to make a lil pretend tour ad mat thing but this is what y’all get because my creative energy is dwindling 🫙🦗

✨say hello to the BERNINA 990✨
i can’t begin to share how much i love this machine.
BU is over, i’m home recuperating, and just completely overwhelmed by the positivity and catharsis seeing people finally use this machine. at at least one point every day last week, i caught myself ugly crying just thinking “we did it.”
being a part of the team to bring this machine to life has been the greatest honor, joy, and accomplishment of my career. we have been waiting and preparing for this launch for years. and i still struggle to find the words.
i’m so proud of our team who have spent so many years developing and preparing to launch this machine. as much as i love the machine, i love you guys even more. by @hayleygrzych

happy first anniversary to us ✨
i love john so much. we’ve had a big and busy first year. we’re on different continents today which is not ideal but it does mean we got a bonus 6 hours of june 2 between the two of us to celebrate.

i really love switzerland. i am so grateful for every opportunity i have to visit, especially when i get to come here and work with not just an incredible team, but some of my very best friends. we’re in for a really big year (!) and i can’t imagine a better crew to be stressed out with 😂
i also got to tack on a little weekend in london at the beginning of my journey! this trip to CH coincidentally lined up with the end of john’s UK tour so we met in the middle to have a few days together between our independent several-weeks-long journeys.
