I am truly honoured to have been the recipient of the Sabian Cymbals Award from @humbermusic this past school year.

Thank you @sabiancymbals for having me at the factory and sending me these beautiful cymbals!

Thank you Peter Stairs, VP in Sales and Randy Ross (@randy_ross_sabian), Director of Research & Development for allowing me to have this amazing opportunity and helping me choose some beautiful cymbals.

Hello everyone, I'm thrilled to announce that my debut EP "New Light" is set to release on July 26th with the title track coming out on July 12th as the single! It is a collection of 5 songs, showcasing 4 originals and an arrangement of a jazz standard that I completed during my time at music school. I was able to record this music with my amazing band that I call close friends.

We'll be celebrating the full release @jazzbistroto July 31st from 8-10:30pm. We'll be performing all the songs off of the EP as well as more original compositions alongside some of my favourite songs from other composers I look up to.

I am very appreciative to all the help I've had along the way to make this come true. My band for making my music come to life, everyone at Humber for guiding me through this process as well as giving me the tools to do so, my friends and family who've supported me through this process and to Clarice Bianchi for her amazing artwork.

Personel:
@jamesmingriffith - Alto Sax
@jacko.packo - Bass
@jessevvhite - Guitar
#julianstraatsma - Piano
@_stevecarson - Producer
@matthewmanifould - Recording and Mixing Engineer
@reubenghose - Mastering Engineer
@valeriabravoreyes, @mellabatthews - Student Assistants
@thomasfrancismusic - Project Advisor
@clarobaro - Illustrations

Feel free to pre-save the single and EP, the links will be in my bio! by @haynes_jackson
