O ator brasileiro-americano Haysam Ali (@haysamali), natural de São Paulo, hoje morando e fazendo sucesso em Hollywood, percorreu um longo percurso até conquistar seu lugar ao sol. Ele, que foi convidado para integrar o elenco do reality show “A Fazenda”, na Record, em 2012, bateu um papo exclusivo com a MENSCH e contou detalhes de como foi iniciar a carreira artística fora do Brasil.

Radicado nos Estados Unidos há dez anos, agora em março, Ali deu um salto importante em sua carreira, estreando nos palcos americanos como o serial killer Marcelo Costa de Andrade, em “Vampiro do Rio”, peça na qual interpreta o Vampiro de Niterói e o psiquiatra. O roteiro do show solo foi escrito pelo autor de novelas, Tiago Santiago, e marca o início de novos projetos do ator.

Do Brasil para o mundo, Haysam Ali vem conquistando seu espaço internacional há dez anos e acaba de revelar seu novo rosto em um ensaio exclusivo em Mykonos para a IN MAG. Após passar por uma série de procedimentos estéticos, o ator vive uma fase marcada por autotransformação e renascimento, celebrando o equilíbrio entre corpo, mente e arte. “Minha transformação não foi para os outros, foi por mim”, afirma Haysam, que se prepara para trazer ao Brasil, em 2026, o espetáculo “Vampiro de Niterói”, após uma temporada de sucesso nos Estados Unidos.

The Vampire of Rio was never meant to simply tell the story of a serial killer.

It is a story about what can come before the violence. About childhood trauma. Abandonment. Children separated from their parents. Poverty, neglect, abuse, and growing up surrounded by violence until violence becomes a language of its own.

It asks us to look at the cycle of violence — how violence can generate more violence, and what can happen when a child grows up without protection, stability, love, or a sense of belonging.

Nothing excuses the horrific acts committed. But if we only look at the monster and never ask what helped create him, we miss an important part of the conversation.

Seeing audiences in Edinburgh leave the theatre carrying those questions with them meant more to me than I can put into words.

That is why we tell difficult stories. Not to glorify them. Not to provide easy answers. But to confront, question, understand, and hopefully reflect on what we, as a society, can do differently.

Thank you, Edinburgh, for listening — and for leaving the theatre willing to have that conversation.

Couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️

I’m so lucky to have friends who became family. Get yourself friends who cross continents just to support you. Friends you sometimes don’t see for a year, but when you’re together again, it feels like nothing has changed—the love and the bond are still right there.

Get yourself friends who care enough to make shirts just to celebrate your victories. I mean… FML. 🥹 I’m so blessed.

Thank you for coming all the way to Edinburgh and being part of this with me. What a wild, unforgettable run.
