Haywater has been a major part of my life and the lives of both my direct and extended family for the past couple of years.

Starting from the initial planning stages of the 2025 festival in the Summer of 2024, to today as we’re wrapping up the final items of office work for 2026, the organizer workload of putting together a weekend music festival has spanned almost through both respective years. Aside from small breaks of a couple of months, usually between mid August to mid October, there’s a full year’s worth of work between finding and signing artists, planning the venue, finding vendors, applying for permits, organizing logistics… and a few other things, all for one weekend.

And what weekends have they been. It’s an understatement to say that all the work has been worth it. Haywater has had such a warm and loving reception that it’s hard to find words to adequately describe our feelings, other than thank you. Kiitos.

However, sometimes an unstoppable force meets and immovable object, and this is one of those times with the momentum of Haywater meeting the priorities of a young family with two kids, Nooa 2.5y and Eino 6m, and a dream of a small Texas ranch in its starting stages. Thus, it is with a conflicted heart that I have to say that the time commitment of Haywater will unfortunately have to take a backseat to these other priorities for the coming year, and as such, Haywater will have to take a break year for 2027.

It is not a goodbye. Hell, we’ve only gotten started. But it is a “see you again in a little bit”. Hope y’all understand.

Finally a big thank you to my brother @tvanttinen, my co-organizer @rolle_viponen, the extended Vänttinen family, all the volunteers and last but certainly not least, my wife @miravanttinen who’s supported this journey from the start, even at times when it did seem like a slightly silly pipe dream of an endeavor. The work ain’t finished, but I do suggest we all enjoy a little breather in 2027.

A quick look back at a festival for the ages with the ⭐️Official Haywater 2026 Aftermovie⭐️

Can’t say it much better than our dear friend @timbo_lo. Thank you to all you beautiful people who made Haywater 2026 the highlight of our year and a weekend we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. Artists, attendees, vendors, volunteers and locals of Heinävesi, Finland. From the bottom of our hearts: Kiitos.

KIITOS
It’s rare that I post anything, but after this weekend, it feels right.

The emotions have been running high, and my heart is full of gratitude. ❤️

Haywater is so much more than a festival to us. It’s a shared dream, built through countless hours of hard work, sacrifice, friendship, and above all, the incredible people who make it all possible.

First, thank you to my brother, Heikki. Without you, there would be no Haywater. You have carried the greatest workload, the greatest responsibility, and the biggest risk to make this festival a reality. Because of you, all of us have been able to experience this unforgettable weekend. I can never thank you enough.

Thank you to our father, my father’s brothers, and their spouses. Thank you for always believing in us and for the enormous amount of work you’ve done for our family and this festival—much of it quietly behind the scenes.

Thank you to Maria, Heikki’s wife Mira, and our children. Your patience, sacrifices, understanding, and unconditional support have made this dream possible. Thank you for standing beside us every step of the way.

Thank you to all of the amazing artists who traveled to Heinävesi to make this weekend unforgettable. We wish you nothing but happiness and success, and we truly hope you’ll remember Haywater and these special weekends for years to come.

And finally, thank you to all of you—our Haywater family. You’re so much more than an audience. You are the heart of this festival. The atmosphere you create is something truly unique, and it’s what makes Haywater feel like home.

A heartfelt thank you to the people of Heinävesi and to every single volunteer. Your support, generosity, and hard work have made this event possible.

Together, we’ve built something far greater than a music festival.

One of the greatest joys of hosting Haywater CMF is seeing Heinävesi through the eyes of our international artists.

They’ve been amazed by the pristine beauty of our forests and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Kermajärvi. Moments like these remind us that nature is more than a backdrop—it’s part of the experience.

Let’s protect what makes this place so special, so future generations can enjoy the same beauty, the same music, and the same sense of wonder.

Pidetään katse tiukasti tuulilasissa, mutta vilkaistaan silti hetkeksi taustapeiliin ja muistellaan, millainen viikonloppu oikeasti koettiin…

Kuusitoista hemmetin kovaa artistia ratsasti ison veden takaa (ja vähän lähempääkin), saapui Heinävedelle ja pisti pystyyn Country Ranchin, joka ei todellakaan jättänyt yhtäkään stetsonia kylmäksi 🔥

Kiitos teille artisteille — läsnäolo oli niin vahvaa, että sen tunsi saappaiden kärjissä asti 🙌
Kiitos yleisölle — ilmapiiristä, pukeutumisesta ja siitä täysillä heittäytymisestä, joka tekee tästä festarista just sen mitä se on 🤠

Mahtavan Haywater-perjantain ohella ei niin paljon hyvää ettei jotain huonoakin. Nimittäin Fabrizio joutuu peruuttamaan lauantain Haywater-esiintymisensä sekä artistin että järjestäjän hallinnan ulkopuolisista matkustusongelmista johtuen😔 Fabrizion esiintyminen korvataan vaihtoehtoisella esiintyjällä, josta tiedotetaan lauantain aikana. by @haywatercmf
