Finally printing a few layers of the health potion :) and playing around with this lovely gold traditional relief ink! I basically exclusively use Caligo safewash as it’s easy for at home clean up, but my god did the traditional stuff go through the press good!!! Glided through and came out lovely. by @hazelbrownprints

My first attempt at drawing on procreate with an iPad. It was actually very intuitive and felt quite lovely to use. My toxic trait is I agonise over being a beginner but I really enjoyed it and I’m excited to try out some different brushes (and make some of my own). Cormorants hold a very special place in my heart. I see them on my walks along the banks of the Lea and they truly feel like the spirits of the river. I always pay my respects as I go by. I haven’t had much time for art recently but work has taken me to some gorgeous places with wonderful trees and plants (scroll to the end for @ansis_k frolicking in the nature) 🌻🌻🌻 by @hazelbrownprints

As some of you may know I’m a freelancer in film/tv/events/theatre to pay my bills. I’ve been lucky over the last few years with fairly continuous work, but 2026 has been fairly quiet so far and I’m feeling the existential dread many freelancers know too well. I’ve had a lot of people ask me where they can purchase my work and if I have a shop, so I thought I’d finally get one up and running again! I’m not expecting much but it would mean a lot if you could take a look and it would mean the world if you bought something. I’m still in disbelief whenever anyone buys my work, it really is appreciated xoxoxoxoxo by @hazelbrownprints

I’m taking a break from insta so sorry if I haven’t seen your messages xoxo but thought I’d pop on to do a little @gunningetchingpress update! I just had my cleanest run of prints out of it to date. I’m getting the hang of this!!! Felt a bit wibbley wobbley adjusting from hand burnishing to printing by press but I managed to get the pressure, ink density and Lino coverage spot on this time which is a really lovely feeling. The print is a study of a Roman inspired statue from Holkham Hall in Norfolk. I had major January blues this year, anyone else??? After a hectic week getting a certain someone’s spaceship ready for lift off (🤫) I finally had some time to take my @ironbridgeprintmakers press for a spin! Look of pure joy lifting my first ever print from this press. The first of many! On camera it looks perfect, but I’m getting a little smudging to one side that I haven’t quite figured out how to eradicate. I have been hand burnishing for so many years now this feels like starting over in many ways.
