This image of Shaheem on the lakeshore of Chicago is quite possibly my favorite photograph I have ever taken. I can remember the exact feeling of electricity and outerbody levity that overcame me the moment I clicked the shutter. I think I probably screamed, lol. A handful of times in my career I've experinced this magical feeling, it is otherworldly, and bigger than me. Something to do with flow, alignment, with luck?

I want to live in this campaign forever. Maybe it’s the rainbow dream world @avalon_grip_and_lighting made or all the dazzle and flare whipped up by our fashion fairy godmother @ebonynicolecampbell but most likely it’s the overwhelming radiant queer joy and self expression delivered fabulously and ferociously by the legends of @theplaygroundkiki . Bringing this one back because it never posted properly on IG & it’s still my favorite project to date (going to be hard to beat this one) I can’t believe i got to direct this.

according to all the top wedding blogs out there the official most appropriate timeline for doing engagement photos is as follows;

elope as swiftly as possible before a newly elected facist goober is sworn into office due to a promise of violence and revocation of rights against your partner for no apparent reason. *Do make sure to elope during a historic natural disaster (LA fires!✔️) for dramatic effect*. Don't tell anyone you got married (try to play it off as an engagement) then plan to have a big wedding with friends and family one year from the date but then swiftly (two weeks later) get a devastating diagnosis and get caught up in a year long health scare. Naturally, decide to push the wedding exactly one year and one day (be precise). Once you're on the other side of the health scare - it will have been 16 months since you've legally eloped and 8 months until your wedding - THIS is the only appropriate time to do engagement photos, because it really is a special time in your lives and it's really important that you document it. Oh and then 10 days later, it's time to send out save the dates.

It's not a perfect science - just sharing what has worked for us!! I love you Sean & I can't wait to marry you in front of all our friends and family this winter ♡ 🥲 !!!
