Soup Joumou is more than a soup—it is a symbol of freedom. Every New Year’s Day, Haitians around the world gather to enjoy Soup Joumou, a traditional pumpkin soup that commemorates Haiti’s independence on January 1, 1804. Once reserved exclusively for French colonial slaveholders, Soup Joumou became a powerful symbol of liberation after Haiti’s victory in the world’s first successful slave revolution and the birth of the first Black republic. Today, every bowl serves as a reminder of freedom, resilience, and national pride. 📸 Highlights from Haiti’s Independence Day Celebration at the Embassy of Haiti in Tokyo (January 2024). SoupJoumou #Haiti Haitianculture HaitiJapan HCCJ by @hcc.in.japan

ウェブサイト : www.hccjp.com メール : info@hccjp.com またはDMまで by @hcc.in.japan

What stood out to us was the level of appreciation and importance placed on Haitian vetiver by Masuda and by some of the most respected names in the world of perfumery; several of whom we also had the privilege of meeting during our time in Paris. These conversations offered us a fascinating perspective on how Haitian vetiver is perceived within the global fragrance industry, and the role this exceptional Haitian ingredient continues to play in the world of scent. #JapanCaribbean #HaitiJapan #DominicanRepublicJapan #Jewelry #Amber by @hcc.in.japan
English Version Renewable Energy Business Opportunity in Jacmel, Haiti⚡ Known as the “City of Light,” Jacmel made history in 1925 as the first city in the Caribbean to receive electricity. During its golden age, the wealth generated by the coffee trade financed modern infrastructure, public services, and the beautiful French colonial architecture that still defines the city today. Today, Jacmel remains Haiti’s cultural capital and one of its leading tourism destinations. But like many cities across the country, it faces an ongoing challenge: unreliable electricity. This is where opportunity meets innovation. Haiti’s greatest energy need isn’t simply more electricity—it’s reliable, decentralized, and disaster-resilient power. This is an area where Japanese technology is globally recognized. Imagine renewable energy microgrids powering: ⚡ Hotels ⚡ Hospitals ⚡ Schools ⚡ Industrial parks ⚡ Entire communities With its thriving tourism industry, growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, and historical significance, Jacmel is an ideal location to pilot next-generation renewable energy solutions. For Japanese manufacturers and technology providers, this represents more than a business opportunity—it is a chance to build resilient infrastructure while supporting sustainable economic development. Could Jacmel once again become Haiti’s “City of Light” #renewablenergy #jacmel #ハイチ日本 #再生可能エネルギー #viral by @hcc.in.japan
History repeats itself… In 2010, Spain won the World Cup 1–0 against the Netherlands. In 2026, Spain once again won the World Cup 1–0, this time against Argentina. In both 2010 and 2026, the match went to extra time after neither team scored during the first 90 minutes. In 2010, John Heitinga of the Netherlands was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. In 2026, Enzo Fernández of Argentina was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. Spain won both World Cups (2010 and 2026) immediately after winning the UEFA European Championship. Another similarity... @shakira was part of the celebrations for both of Spain’s World Cup victories. In 2010, she performed the iconic Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) before the World Cup Final. The official music video also featured internationally renowned Haitian artist @wyclefjean In 2026, Shakira returned to the World Cup Final stage as one of the headline performers in FIFA’s first-ever halftime show. Sixteen years later, history repeated itself - both on the pitch and on the stage. Congratulations to Spain on a well-deserved victory!!!🏆 Until the next World Cup - hopefully Haiti 🇭🇹 or Japan 🇯🇵 will make it to the final one day. #WorldCupFinal #HaitiJapan #ハイチ日本 #カリブ海 #hccj I don’t own credit for the music video. by @hcc.in.japan
As the FIFA World Cup comes to a close, our hearts are full; we’re proud to have stood behind Haiti 🇭🇹 and Japan 🇯🇵. Haiti made history by returning to the World Cup after 52 years, delivering a performance the nation can be proud of. Japan once again impressed the world with its fast-paced, technical passing game, making every match exciting to watch. As supporters, we have no regrets - only pride. Like Naomi Osaka shared, it’s always a little disappointing when you can’t watch your favorite team because of the match time. The final this weekend will be Monday 4:00 a.m JST - so many fans in Japan may miss it. A big thank you to @fifa for an unforgettable month of football, passion, and moments that brought fans around the world together. Big shoutout to @naomiosaka for always being on Japan 🇯🇵 and Haiti 🇭🇹 side. Until the next tournament! ⚽🌍 #Haiti #Japan #HaitiJapan #ハイチ日本 #カリブ海 by @hcc.in.japan
