Had a magical day at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA with @furnacefashionedphotography

My (@hcfrek) favorite artwork was #alltheflowersareforme which holds a powerful message of female empowerment, divine femininity, and making space for safety and strength despite social (and cultural) norms that otherwise inhibit this. My page is typically only for art but my health is so important to me I wanted to share some substantial progress on my goals that I’m exceptionally proud of and perhaps an explanation as to why my page has been quieter recently. I’ve been really focusing on my health and as a result I think I’m about 46 lbs down since 2024. Slow and steady with lifestyle changes, no fad diets just proper nutrition, and (recently introduced) medication to help push me the rest of the way toward a healthy weight. I have regular check-ins with my healthcare team (doctor, dietitian, labs, vitals, etc.) to closely monitor my wellness milestones. So though I’ve been creatively quiet, I’ve been busy becoming a healthier version of me. I’ve been behind the lens, photographing for FFPC instead of cosplaying while I progress through physical body changes. by @hcfrek

“Take Me Down The Golden Dirt Road”

Late day sunshine was pourin’ over that porch like warm syrup, catchin’ the lace on their dresses as the ladies eased themselves into those old wicker chairs. The air was thick with jasmine and the soft clatter of china, each teacup painted with peaches so plump they looked fit to burst. A plate of hot “bisicks” sat right between ’em—golden, fluffy things that’d fall apart if you so much as breathed on ’em, tastin’ like somebody whispered a blessin’ into the dough.

They weren’t rushin’ a thing. Southern women don’t, not when the breeze is kind and the company’s sweeter than the tea. Their laughter drifted out across the yard, mixin’ with the cicadas, as they swapped stories, shared secrets, and passed along the sort of gentle gossip that keeps a town stitched together. Every smile, every tilt of the head, every slow sip carried that unmistakable grace—soft as a peach’s skin, strong as its pit.

All said, we must all think about the "Golden Dirt Road" by @hcfrek
