One of these things is not like the others…

@sasquatchpilot bought herself an extremely cool and very unique piece of RHD Japanese Automobilia. A 1999 Nissan Stagea RSV Aero Package with the RB25DET Neo Engine. Think of it like a Skyline Wagon.

This is the first non-Ford in over 10 years, and only the 3rd non-Ford in my life.

The attention this car gets is crazy, being RHD and never released in the U.S. People just don’t know what to make of it. It’s been fun so far, and we’ve already made some new friends as a result!

*Sorry for the terrible centering on the engine pic. Not sure what happened there.

My beautiful, wonderful friend and cuddle partner Slick passed away yesterday. My heart is broken. He’s been with Erica and I for over 15 years, and now he is gone. I’ll never forget the day we met…he hissed at Erica and then climbed into my arms and fell asleep. He claimed me as his human from day 1, and he lived that way every single day without fail. Meeting me at the stairs every day when I got home, constantly asking for attention, love, and water from the faucet. Always on my desk or my lap whenever I was working. Always there to cuddle in with me and lay right in the crook of my arm every single night when I came to bed. Every night I was home for over 15 years. He was frustrating at times, but always because he wanted love and because he wanted it exactly his way.
About a year and a half ago, Slick suddenly started losing weight, quickly going from 19lbs down to 9lbs in a matter of a few weeks. The vet diagnosed him with intestinal cancer. Said to bring him home and give him love, because in less than 3 weeks he would be gone. But he wasn’t willing to go yet. He bounced back, gained his weight back and was mostly back to normal. I honestly thought he would live forever at that point. I used to joke that he would outlive me. Things went back to normal. Life went on.
Then about a week ago, things changed. He stopped eating. He stopped seeking out love and attention. He started hiding under the bed. He wasn’t himself. He lost weight rapidly. In his own way, he was letting us know it was time. Thursday night, he summoned up the strength to come visit me while I was working like he had so many nights before. He was so weak, but so brave. He wanted to spend that time with his Dad. His person. He was saying goodbye. He passed away on the way to the vet on Saturday morning, in Erica’s arms. He went the same way he lived, on his terms.
I am hurting so much. I will miss him forever. We love our pets with all our hearts, but we are never prepared for when the time comes to say goodbye.
Slick, even if I thanked you a million times, it wouldn’t be nearly enough. Rest easy, my friend. I’ll see you again someday. 💔 by @hcracerx

Dear @jackinthebox , I CANNOT WAIT for your location to open in Lake In The Hills, IL. As a former California resident, there are certain things that I miss from my former home…and your Tacos and Spicy Chicken Sandwiches are on that list. The day cannot come fast enough. #jackinthebox #spicychickensandwich #jackintheboxtacos #lakeinthehills taken in Lake in the Hills, Illinois by @hcracerx

Had the pleasure of seeing @distantofficial at @metrochicago last night, and it was insane. These boys came all the way from The Netherlands to absolutely tear the place down. Also had the privilege of meeting @rene.gerbrandy after the show and it was great being able to talk with him the rest of the band about touring the U.S., Buc-ee’s gas stations, video games, and viral internet posting. Super cool guys for sure. If you are a fan of absolutely Crushing, Heavy as F*ck Deathcore, these guys deliver it with the best of them. They also have a new album coming out in a couple weeks, so check them out! #Distant #DistantBand #Deathcore #Brutal #Metal #RealMusic #PlayMoreBlastbeats #Blastbeats #MetroChicago #LiveMusic #Concert taken in Metro Chicago by @hcracerx

It is truly wonderful that they have a staff that cares and loves the dogs so much that even the endless challenge that is our Izzy loves going there and is even excited to see them whenever we go. ❤️ We appreciate you guys so much! #PetSuites #DoggieDaycare #Dog #GermanShepherd #Husky #Shepsky #germanshepherdsofinstagram #Rescue #rescuedogsofinstagram #Halloween #SpookySeason #HorrorNight #PetSuitesLakeInTheHills taken in PetSuites Lake in the Hills by @hcracerx

Let’s talk about @psychoframedc - A band who came out and just started killing it immediately, releasing 2 EPs in 1 year, gaining traction with every show and getting more and more people talking about them every single day. This is uncompromising, brutal, and no nonsense Deathcore the way it used to be back in the day, with a dual-vocalist attack and an evolved sound and style that hits in a way that so many other bands just can’t match. This is something the scene was missing, and for me personally…I’m so damn excited that they are here now. Check them out, you won’t be sorry. #PsychoFrame #Deathcore #Brutal #RealMusic #Metal #AutomaticDeathProtocol #RemoteGodSeeker by @hcracerx

Boundaries - Death Is Little More

Heard 1 song during the week, listened to the rest of the album over the weekend, and then bought the album immediately after. I have been listening to it on rotation since. Absolutely no skips on this entire album. Very, very good, heavy AF pissed off Metalcore, with lots of extras thrown in for added flavor. This is so what I needed. 10/10. Brilliant.
