The 2026 Hill College Rebels baseball team put together one of the program’s most successful seasons in recent years, finishing 35-20 overall and 19-13 in conference play while placing 4th in Region 5 North. The Rebels earned their first playoff appearance since 2019 and were rewarded with postseason honors, including two All-Conference selections and one All-Region V selection.

On the mound, the pitching staff continued to improve throughout the season, recording 375 strikeouts and holding opponents to a 5.18 ERA and 1.53 WHIP. The Rebels ranked among the top teams in Region 5 North in several key pitching categories, including 4th in ERA, 3rd in runs allowed, 4th in earned runs allowed, and 3rd in walks allowed. Hill also gained national recognition on the mound, finishing 20th nationally in ERA, 22nd in WHIP, 15th in earned runs allowed, 18th in hits allowed, 20th in walks allowed, and 13th in runs allowed, highlighting the staff’s ability to limit baserunners and keep opponents off the scoreboard.

Offensively, Hill College was among the top teams in Region 5 North, ranking 4th in batting average (.306), 3rd in hits (473), and 4th in RBIs (390). The Rebels also showed patience and power at the plate, posting a .443 on-base percentage, .501 slugging percentage, 283 walks, and 86 stolen bases. Their balanced attack produced 87 doubles, 68 home runs, and 115 hit-by-pitches, helping the offense finish among the conference leaders in several categories.

After entering the season focused on returning to postseason baseball, Hill College accomplished that goal by combining a productive offense, steady pitching, and veteran leadership. The Rebels’ 35-win campaign and playoff berth marked a significant step forward for the program and established a strong foundation for future success. by @hcrebelbaseball
