@metajiujitsu. I’m grateful to have found what I love early in life and now I have the ability to share what I’ve learned everyday. For those that don’t know I have started a small jiu jitsu gym in chino. Small groups, temperature checks, classes with family and friends for a comfortable training experience. I’m still working with my team in Covina @gfteamcovina and I’m grateful for the support from them, my family, friends, and instructors. I plan on giving back once I’ve grown, thank you for your patience. If you’re interested in training and in the area contact me, I’d love to share with you what I’ve learn. Or if you aren’t in the area, I’d put you in the right hands to learn. Jiu Jitsu is something I feel everyone should know especially children. Last weekend I competed at @jjworldleague OC 2020. Took gold at my first black belt tournament. 🥇🥋 Thank you to everyone who has helped me on my journey. My coaches in jiu jitsu, wrestling, and judo and my team, thank you. Competition is a test to see where you’re at. While it is nice to win, its more important to learn. Today after 8 1/2 years, I received my black belt in Jiu Jitsu. There will be a celebration sometime next week at Teixeira-Garcia BJJ in Covina. DM me for info. @jjworldleague American open 2019. 1-1 Very happy with my performance but still much more to do. It was an awesome experience to coach my team and have my family, team, and coaches out there to support me. Thank you to my team at and coaches at @teixeiragarciabjj and @gfteam_orange for all the mat time and preparation! My mindset for competition and training is changing and I can’t wait to see where it takes me. Last weekend I had the privilege of competing in the @jjworldleague Fight Club II. What an INCREDIBLE experience. It was a “best 2 out of 3 match” and came down to the last ten seconds of the final round. Although it didn’t end in victory, it was easily one of the hardest tournaments I’ve fought in. I am extremely proud of myself and learned more than any other tournament, even the ones I got gold in. It was basically 15 minutes of hard technical sparing with someone just as good if not better than myself. I learned I could dig deeper and push myself more than I could ever imagine and now have more confidence for the next one. To me, that’s a victory. At moments I felt my mind start to get weak but I had to not listen to my mind and listen to my coach instead. Thank you to my coach Sammy Garcia and my brother for the support. It couldn’t have been possible with out the push from my team, my coach, and my opponent/friend @connorwelle. Thank you!
