Family Garden is a DIY Punk-Metal three-piece, crafting a sound that is as eclectic as it is powerful. Hailing from the underground Philly scene, the trio has a long-standing musical partnership, but Family Garden marks their most personal and enduring venture yet.

“It was in the crumbling, labyrinthine depths of Philadelphia-a city steeped in the whispers of forgotten centuries and the weight of unspoken horrors-that I first heard the name Family Garden. This blasphemous triad, composed of three figures who seemed less like men and more like vessels for some unfathomable cosmic will, had emerged as if spat forth from the gullet of a ravenous void. Chubbrock, Ryan Flannery, and Evan Madden, though cloaked in the guise of human flesh, bore within them the taint of something far older and more sinister. Their veins pulsed not with blood, but with the eldritch ichor of heaven’s forbidden magic, a dark gift that bound them to their unholy purpose. Their music, a grotesque fusion of black metal’s glacial malevolence, crust punk’s feral rage, and the disorienting, acid-fueled chaos of a mind unraveling, was no mere performance. Alien Survey Part #1

We landed on 09/12 and observed the landscapes of the Petrified Wood Forest. The fossils of the dinosaurs and stone hieroglyphics told us to keep moving east towards the Grand Canyon.

The Ravens of the Grand Canyon were wise, yet timid. After offerings of seed they told us to head north to the Blood Mountains of Utah. They spoke of the Council of Raccoons. We found the council in a dive bar. The dirt pandas were quite stubborn, yet after a couple shots of whiskey they loosened up but then tried to fight us, and they kicked our ass.

Still no straight answers, but I have a team of experts coming tomorrow to help decipher these ancient riddles of the desert denizens. by @head_bash

Earlier this year when @zorn_philly released their latest album “Return to Castle Death” they also released something else. After 1000 years, Demon Salvatore was awakened after being banished to the depths of the Grey’s Ferry Warehouse.

Salvatore terrorized Zorn for 11 Days during their most recent tour throughout the accursed region of…Canada. Luckily enough Zorn’s cult militia was able to forge enough weapons in time to banish him back to the warehouse. Legend has it you can still hear his cries, and that he will awaken soon again to complete his quest of defeating Zorn.

Salvatore was created by @zorn_philly and has been brought down to form by @head_bash. He will be available in limited variants TOMORROW! 6PM EST!

Heres a (long) story that I find worth sharing.

When I was an undergraduate at Kutztown University one of my main focuses was how animal behavior can affect both wildlife conservation and human psychology. So part of that focus was a project where I studied Beluga Whales in Mystic Connecticut. One of the whales that I was particularly drawn to the most was the juvenile male, Juno (big surprise).

So I hung out with Juno and his friends every month for 3 years. Then I got my degree in 2013 and had to withstand the harsh reality that my “outlandish” ideas wont necessarily give me the income to survive in a society that values monetization over the conservation of the natural world…but enough of that.

So fast forward 13 years and this past February I decided to see if my pal Juno was still around. It turned out that not only was he still around but out of a crowd of 30 people, Juno swam right up to me. After 13 years this whale did not forget me. He showed me all his new toys, splashed water on me, we even chatted for a bit. The crowd was blown away when I told them our history, and so was I. And then I had to say goodbye to my friend.

The moral of this story, is that money will only buy us the things we are told we need, and monetization only goes so far.

You cannot put a monetary value on friendship, empathy, and memory, etc. So you have to ask yourself, what are you without any of that? by @head_bash

“You should travel here to see the people who traveled here”

Took a journey into the heart of Appalachia last weekend for the first ever Appalachian Dungeon Fest (@appalachiandungeonfest) with some of my closest people. I gotta be honest with ya’ll it was a fever dream of a trip that I’ll never forget.

Major shout out to everyone who threw this thing together as it was as DIY as it gets. The fest was slapped on top of a firefly filled mountain at a Lake Resort that was apparently washed out by a flood last year, but that just added to the magic. Made some new friends, ran into @devils_weed_crafting , hiked my ass off, and frolicked in a field. What an absolute blast.
