Not sure what to do in front of the camera? Perfect. That’s my job.

I’ll demonstrate poses, tell you where to look, what to do with your hands, and give you a steady stream of feedback as we go.

I love showing you the back of the camera as we’re working away too, so you can actually see that we’re getting great shots.

I’m also paying close attention to the light and looking for little opportunities like this to play with shadows and create something interesting.

You don’t need to think about how you look or what makes a great shot. That’s what I’m here for.

And yes, fur babies are always welcome. Neo has joined us at nearly every shoot!

I’m currently booking 1:1 shoots and have two spaces remaining for our Social Content Shoot Day on Tuesday 20 October.

Sometimes the things that are so second nature to us are the exact things other people would find fascinating to watch.

I’ve had the beautiful opportunity to witness @cassdellerdesign painting in person, and it’s incredible! She drops into this intuitive flow, drawing inspiration from the nature around her and somehow turning it into the beautiful artwork and patterns she’s known for.

For Cass, this is simply what she does. But for the rest of us, getting to see behind the scenes of how something comes to life gives us another way to connect with her and her work.

It’s such a good reminder in that for all of us creating content for our businesses. Don’t only show the finished piece. Invite people into the process, the inspiration, the decisions and the parts of your work that feel so familiar to you that you’ve forgotten they might be fascinating to someone else.

Because letting people see how you do what you do is also letting them get to know the person behind it.

Behind the scenes with the incredible @ashleigh.conwell of @yellow.falcon

I’m in awe of Ash. The grief she’s carrying is inconceivable, and the fact that she’s been so brave and has channelled her pain into creating such practical and caring resources for others is amazing.

Ash was just 29 and 17 weeks pregnant with triplets when her husband tragically passed away in an accident.

From her unimaginable loss, she’s gone on to create a comprehensive course to support those who are bereaved.

What to do when someone passes away, practical ways we can show up to provide support and love, and how to get your affairs in order so the people you love aren’t left untangling the chaos.

She’s also creating a complete workplace grief support system that goes well beyond bereavement leave. Real, tangible and practical ways to care for the people in our businesses.

I’m so grateful that photography connected us Ash and I love that the kookaburras have joined us singing at both shoots.

There’s something really beautiful about witnessing a woman celebrate herself.

@drhayleydquinn had just published her book, and every time she looked at that stack of books, she couldn’t wipe the smile off her face.

It made me think about how often we skip over our own wins. We spend months, sometimes years, working towards something, only to achieve it and immediately start focusing on what’s next.

What if we stayed in the win a little longer?
