POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Incredibly excited and honored to announce this massive 💥💥INTERNATIONAL LINKUP 💥💥on October 24th in Milwaukee powered by Headway HiFi soundsystem welcoming the one and only SINAI SOUNDSYSTEM coming from Sheffield, UK alongside the microphone specialist LASAI out of Madrid Spain! On support we have Chicago’s legendary Selectress Kinky P of Beatdown Soundsystem, the owner of Red Ground Sound Stoger, and myself with very special guest Abdou hailing from Senegal, West Africa playing the Kora, all under one roof at the legendary Club Timbuktu!

Since before I first started to research building a soundsystem, Huw Williams and Sinai soundsystem have been a massive inspiration to me and I couldnt be more excited to have him come to our city alongside one of my favorite vocalists Lasai and a fierce lineup of friends I love and respect immensely!

I hope to see you all in the dance!

I will have a handful of presale tickets available if you contact me directly, otherwise per usual it will be 25 dollars at the door day of show!

Love and respect to everybody, i appreciate all of your ongoing support over the years more than I can explain! by @headwayhifi

This friday, we are very excited to have @dave__zylstra (Selector Z), his wife, the Selectress, and their daughter, Sister M, playing all together for the very first time as The Family Zylstra in session to celebrate the anniversary of our sound system! Dave has become a great friend, and his family are incredible people who have been nothing but kind to us. Its such an awesome thing to see his family all enjoying and playing reggae music together, keeping the music alive into the next generation, and we are honored to have their debut playing together with us! by @headwayhifi

Super happy to announce our Headway HiFi SIX YEAR anniversary session at the one and only @club_timbuktu_milwaukee ! 6 years of Music, community, friendships, great times and heavyweight vibes! I am Ecstatic to play music with one of my best friends @bukkhagram all the way from Spain with support from the whole Zylstra family - Selector Z, the Selectress and their daughter Sister M playing records all together for the very first time!

Not only is it 6 years since we started the sound, but 5 years since our first session at Timbuktu. I am grateful everyday for the support Youssouf Komara and Damian Campbell have given us and so many others, they have provided us a home to share music and energy, a place to create memories and friendships where all feel welcome from any walk of life without judgement!

So many bonds have been created inside these walls, old ones stregnthened and new ones sparked! A deep thank you to everyone who supports Headway Hifi and Club Timbuktu! I hope to see you all in the dance! by @headwayhifi

Tomorrow night! HEADWAY HIFI SOUNDSYSTEM back in Session at Milwaukee’s center for culture @club_timbuktu_milwaukee with some very special guest selectors!

Warming the session up proper, longtime member of our own crew always making sure things run smooth behind the scenes @spuninwonderland is stepping up to play her first official set as @_lilac_lion !

Originally from Bay Area, CA, and founding @redgroundsound in OKC, @stoger_tune has made his way to the midwest and we are blessed to have him bring his energy and style to the people of Milwaukee!

Last but far from least, we have the one and only CHEF CHUX, owner/operator of the legendary @beatdown_soundsystem alongside @selectresskinkyp, arguably one of the most influential and hardworking reggae soundsystems in the midwest and stateside in general, inspiring and putting on so many of us and hosting some of the most legendary sessions in the area, its always a privelage to have either of them bless the sound and we are without a doubt in for a heavyweight display of pure soundsystem music!

PULL UP! Bring your crew! Support your local soundsystem! Support your local venue! Support your selectors near and far! See you all in the dance! by @headwayhifi

We are officially one week out from Italy’s own @numacrewofficial at the one and only Club Timbuktu!

A couple announcements; we’ve added the one and only Mosh Wah on support duties, if you know you know and if you don’t know Mosh Wah is a veteran Selector in Milwaukee, known for deep wide ranging crates of music and heading several funk, soul, hip hop, reggae and more nights across the city for years both Solo and with crew Chalice in the Palace! Pull up early as the vibes going to get warm right off the bat 👊🏼👊🏼

Secondly; we are going to be taking donations that will go directly to our Timbuktu family member Lukey to help with finances toward services and expenses involved with the tragic passing of his mother in Jamaica’s recent Hurricane. If you are able to, anything helps and is massively appreciated.

I hope to see a bunch of faces old and new at this one. It is the first official Headway session in quite a while with a foundational crew of Italy’s soundsystem scene as well as one of @sleepinggiantsentertainment debut events and we are so proud and happy to be involved.

Love and Respect to all as always 👊🏼 by @headwayhifi

Milwaukee, WI | Club Timbuktu | November 14th

@numacrewofficial takes over Club Timbuktu. An open to close event with headway Hifi system head @spunback opening support!

One of my favorite groups I've ever heard is coming thru to the states for their very first debut tour and we were lucky enough to be one of 4 stops for it.

On top of this we're doing it in one of my favorite venues I've ever been inside and doing it with some of my favorite group of homies!

We would be extremely grateful and love you long time if you all came out to support and spread this flyer around for us to put some ppl on game to one of the best groups to ever fucking do it for this sound system culture shit.

Love y'all.
